I literally cannot stand reading/watching/listening to stories like Tokyo Ghoul, Orange Marmalade, MDZS, etc that everyone is generalizes a person or group of people. It makes me triggered because when I think about how people who are saying We need to fight against racism (because we generalized their group), but apparently a different species who happens to be different makes all of those people bad.
Yes, OP, that’s literally the whole point of the manga/manhua/manhwa/webtoon/anime/donghua that you’ve listed. One of the theme of these stories is mob mentality, how people can be influenced by their peers to adopt certain behaviors on a largely emotional, rather than rational, basis. The mob then oppresses the minorities due to their differences. The stories you listed are all fantasies, of course we know vampires, demons, and cultivators aren’t real. But if you were to change these characteristics to human race, gender, sexuality, ethnicities etc. then it’ll be exactly the same thing. It doesn’t matter if it’s different species, there will always be people who will view another group of people who are even slightly different from them as “evil” just because they fear what they don’t know. You ARE supposed to be pissed, because these stories reflect real life societies. Human can go on and on about justice and racial/gender equality but if there was one thing that would unite them, it would be the fear of the unknown. And what do you do when you are afraid of something? You try to contain it, control it, twist it to the point where it’s “us against them”.
Okay I wrote like a long ass rant but apparently it wasn’t posted so I’ll make this one short. YES OP YES YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO BE PISSED. THAT’S THE WHOLE FUCKING POINT OF THESE STORIES. THE THEME OF THESE STORIES ARE MOB MENTALITY AND “US AGAINST THEM”. IT DOESN’T MATTER IF IT’S A DIFFERENT SPECIES, IF ANY GROUP OR ANY INDIVIDUAL WHO IS SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT OR IS UNKNOWN TO THE MAJORITY, THEY’LL BE LABELED AS “EVIL” “SINNERS “CRIMINALS” ETC. IN OTHER WORDS, HUMANITY IS FULL OF HYPOCRITES, SELF RIGHTEOUS ASSHOLES.

(oooh now it clicks why OP wrote that.) I agree with you! I don't know what kind of story Orange Marmalde is but... The other stories brings up how there's no black or white in this world. No one is completely evil nor is anyone completely good. And it also tells people how important communication is. That's why I like reading those kinds of stories.

Exactly!! One of the reason why I love LOVE MDZS so much. I guess some people can’t stand it because of how relatable it is. Like, we don’t like injustices that smaller group face and we feel outraged for them, but at the same time, we’re not really doing much or we don’t have the power to relieve them. I think the bystanders/mob mentality was what I hated, more so than the villains.
I know a lot of people ask this question, but still... I'm open to talking about a LOT of things and have a lot of social medias so you can choose the platform. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
