i dont think its the manga cuz its not scary i think its the concept of such a thing existing in real life like what you u do if you where at a theater and suddenly your not holding the hands of your lover but just a hand (or even creepier a strangers lol) i feel like the human imagination needs to come to play and it depends on the person ╮(￣▽￣)╭

Nah, I'd actually be creeped out that I was holding a stranger's hand unknowingly for that long. It would be less horror creepy and more gross creepy bc there's a good chance that the stranger knows that I was mistaken but still kept holding my hand instead of trying to let me know I don't know them.
