I think I don't really mind the harem in this as of now because unlike other harems, the girls actually have a good reason to like Ed so it's totally understandable. ( Apart from Lucy but tbh she doesn't even seem to really be romantically interested in him anyways )

Lize is actually the author who went into Lize’s body because they were obsessed with her protagonist and wanted to live life like her. The author made this story for them to live their own fantasy, but their novel/manwha flopped in the real world. Author becomes crazy and hates on everyone that hates lize and something happened i forgot but they ended up in the novel. So Lize(author) controls and puts everyone in a trance to like her and only live for her and that. Our ml begins to get out of this trance cuz of our fl, Liz’s begins to lose her shit cuz as he gets out of the trance she loses more control of the plot and characters. Cliff was controlled the most out of everyone to the point he becomes almost broken, he is actually the real victim cuz he never got to live his life once and Lize the true villian. This novel has been on loop and the author finds different ppl from the real world to play the role of the villainess, there was 12 women before our FL. Every women was ‘boring’ and ‘predictable’ so the author got bored until the 13th women migrated into the villainess role. As our FL changes the plot and her influence in the story Liz(author) begins to lose control of the story which make people question why they feel so possessed when it comes to liz, e.g ML.
What happens to FL that was so heartbreaking?
At then end Liz, the duchess and FL ride in a carriage home from a party and rhey get ambushed by bandits(hired by FL father) to kidnap the women. The duchess and Liz’s got knocked out and our FL was trying her hardness to fight back and save them but the bandits were so abusive to her and only beat her up until she passed out. The duchess and Liz wake up but they are in another place I kinda forget but they were separated from FL. I think liz woke up in the bedroom of the FL’s cunt brother because he wanted to ‘have’ her. The dukedom finds out kidnapping and the duke and Cliff begins to assume it was FL conspiring with her father. They begin to look for them three, at this point the ML was somewhere I think he was in the frontlines taking care of rhe cleanup of the war because Cliff went back first after he got a letter from the duke.
FL wakes up in an underground prison with her cockhead maid. Her maid abused the shit out of her where she becomes disfigured and unable to breathe. Okay so after the maid got her beating she desired she left and the two mercenaries were there guarding her and she managed to get on their good side by making them feel sorry for her about her family disregarding her.
The abusing part and her suffering was really sad and heartbreaking and I think I wouldn’t be able to handle rereading it in the manhwa. I was gasping for air for how sad I felt for her.
During the time of her torture Cliff arrived at the castle with his army to clear out and overtake the castle. He finds Liz and how she was gonna get r@ped with the FL’s brother so he beat him up and killed him(?). They arrested everyone including the cockhead maid and her father. He takes her and the duchess out of there and the rest of his army finish cleaning up and then the duchess said she can’t see FL anywhere we need to find her but then cliff said she was in cahoots with her father, they were both shocked. Soon after the left and went back to the dukedom.
Cliff left our FL in the prison underground where she was dying and stayed for days because he decided not to look throughly cuz all he cared about was Liz. FL stayed there for maybe 3 days without food or water. I don’t rmb the timeline but she gained the favour of the two mercenaries and they set her free and she gave them her necklace the ML got her as thank you and for them to live better lives. She told them to escape and leave before the duke comes with the army (maybe she didn’t know they came already, I forget). She runs out the the cold weather, until she stumbles an old couple who is the baron and baroness of a small land. She asks for their help, they are scared at first cuz of her disfigured face but they help her.
Our ML comes back and finds out about what happened, he becomes so fkn angry at the duke and especially cliff. Why they were so quick to accuse her and why didn’t they bother to look for her. ML knows FL would never do that. Cliff began to feel guilty. ML goes to find FL cuz he can’t trust anyone and he says if she was actually in cahoots with them he wanted to hear her say it himself and he will kill her himself if it was true. It takes him three days to find her, he searched the castle of clues until he found the underground prison where he knows she was kept down here and tortured but she was nowhere to be found. He ends up meeting the two mercenaried that let her go and he saw that they had her necklace, they felt bad for taking it from her so they gave it back to him and directed him in the direction of where they last saw her went but cliffs knights got to her first.
I don’t rmb much in detail from here but when she returns to the dukedom cuz two knights from the dukedom found her. she was going to become executed with her “family”. She was so disfigured that she was almost unrecognisable, the ML wanted her to speak up and tell them she didn’t do it but atp I forget the details but what I rmb it was really sad and heartbreaking for her. I wanted to fkn kill everyone who wronged her in this world.
Anyways short ending explanation is that all misunderstandings cleared after long angst and hardship, Liz true colours are revealed, they were gonna kill her but I guess cliff still didn’t want that and he still loved her no matter who she was even after he knew he was intranced. They get married but she becomes more crazy and more insecure where he was actually trying to help her until cliff became fed up and left her to marry a normal women.
Our main couple lives a happy and prosperous life they deserve in the ML land far away. The side stories are rlly wholesome and cute.
