The struggle to understand people and emotions is so relatable, and it’s cool seeing his inner thoughts on how he thinks and struggles with it. I have a feeling the author knows someone with autism, but the struggle Claus experiences is unfortunate and very realistic.

I can’t tell you how many times I had put myself in similar situations and regretted how I just couldn't comprehend or only realized too late I did something wrong.

It helps to have people who understand the struggles of autism. It's easier to explain why you did what you did without them taking it personally negatively.


Also the same applies to those with ADHD. It's good to understand and have patience.

Ultimately, before assuming the worst, ask why calmly and openly.

By the way, if you are autistic, I do suggest using Grammarly. It helps you understand how you come off to people and may help you better think about how to talk to people.
