I didn't realize it didn't come off as obvious, so just want to share that this series does not have a tankoubon yet (volumes), so only separate chapters. It's about $1-$2 a chapter on cmoa and you can get em at discounts too since they often do 20-30% every now and then. I believe it's also 70% for new users?
I'm a cheapskate too -w-. Can't be living in a 3rd world, doing non-profit scan and not be a cheapskate. Will probably get the tanko tho if they have bonuses.
So if you're curious, grab chapter 10 because we're almost done with 9, just one final pass (shit is so loooooong). No, 10 is not the last chapter lmao
I mean like most expect the grovelling seme like Waterside Night to happen, but then 84 chapters later and it's still just... bad. It's the same since day 1, repeated over and over again, with every chapter in, no actual plot progression occurring.
No judging, but it's honestly one of those "glad I never paid for this" moment.
Someone asked me that. Tbf tho, I personally don't care if you're MTLing. It's shit anyways.
But to answer that, anyone who's been in the group can see the announcement from the leader. During the time period where this series didn't update (because Hareya was busy with her cakeverse and what not, chapter literally updates once a year), my group leader had to move out, go thru divorce and raise her baby toddler alone now.
This started as a hobby when she was pregnant and bored. Clearly time has changed.
After that, Hareya decided to bombard new chapters in the course of every 2 months. There's more going on beside than just the leader.
But guess how many people offered their help during 2-3 years of whining of no new chapters?
None.
So yeah, eat shit lol still gonna upload on mdex tho
Take the L tbh, we just updated the mdex and mggo hasn't crawled for the latest chapter yet but whatever lmao
I've had goosebumps since that one scene where he pretend the jump with just one thought: I finished my work. I can finally die.
It feels so profound in how ordinary it is. Most people go to sleep because they're tired. But that two lines represent just how exhausted beyond simply overworked (he WAS overworked) and mentally drained he was. There's, tbh, no excuse to his past behaviors. He's just your ordinary young adult that made one two many bad decisions many of us did or are doing, but his family did not deserve what they received. And as a reader, I always remember this fact because it makes this moment even more impactful.
It's gorgeous, the way he tried to console him. It's not really romantic, he admits his suicidal tendencies, his past mistakes. He doesn't try to excuse what he did. And that life is exhausting and still unrewarding, people's lost don't come back.
As if he told him, "But if you have even an inch of love for me then please don't die. Let me show I can do things for you AND not lose myself. That this is a fight WE can fight."
Was me reading this on mdex and it didn't have the tragedy tag when I tell you that I didn't listen to Kenshi Yonezu's Umi no Yuurei (Spirits of the Sea) for this, I literally shot myself in the foot and then doubled down
Finally, I could accept that this thing... has no plot lol It really doesn't. It keeps you hanging with all these poetry illustrations of being in a toxic relationship (which is fine, I enjoy the tea), but it has no purpose. 49 chapters or 9 chapters, nothing has changed. It's dragged on for too long.
