My hot take for the day is that Jin isn't anything remarkable, he just confessed first.
To me this story is about two people falling in love with one another but out of synch. Literally nothing makes Jin worthy of being put on a pedestal, save for the fact he said he liked Hanjoon first. I don't even think Jin fully comprehended what dating a gay man fully entails, because when it came to sex he saw a side of Hanjoon that freaked him out. I am personally glad they didn't go through with it that time because Hanjoon wasn't in love and it would have been another notch on his headboard he'd have moved on from and Jin would have just closed off and been traumatised. Hanjoon has since then had time to reflect and realise that "holy shit, I am actually catching feelings for this man." I enjoy that part of it, I also enjoy the fact they are fucking TALKING in these past two chapters about the situation between them and their feelings and how those feelings are starting to align. I see people complain all the time about couples in manga not communicating properly, but when it actually happens in a story they're like "boring, where's the drama?!"
The hell.
