i feel like if the author was going somewhere with this we would get some of seungho's POV, like nothing can justify what hes doing right now but at least seeing WHY he is doing this would be nice. i get the whole part of his character is that hes not allowed to show vunerability etc etc but at this point, a little bit feels necessary. because right now all we can do is interpret, and i cant see this as anything other than the author's sexual fantasy...just any sort of thought from him seems to be the minimum she could do for us right now. i feel like she is trying to build up this facade of his to tear down all at once but how can she expect ppl to have the patience for that? when seungho was seeing other nobles again and ignoring nakyum like 10 chapters ago she didnt explain why and she didnt show us any of his thoughts when the gangr*pe nearly happened either, yet expected us to empathise/move on. originally, thats what i liked about the series bc it gives u room to think, but now this is getting silly. any interpretation i see now just feels like a reach and it just doesnt feel fun to read the chapters anymore, how does she expect us to know wtaf is going on. i know shes gonna do what we want eventually, but like i said...a few hints/thoughts or something for now would be great. i cannot believe the whole build up to this assassination was simply for a r*pe scene, it has got to pay off eventually.
am i the only one who found it weird? this story is specifically wrote to evoke sadness/anger/hope/fear etc and obvs the plot rn is supposed to make us sad, hopefully later to give us a resolution etc...idk if it was a mistranslation but im not sure why shes sad we found the chapter sad, wasnt that the intent? why was she expecting us to be happy, makes me feel like ive got the intentions of the story wrong. like i think the writing is really good and i love how it can make me feel so many emotions...obvs being mad at the characters and the author are two different things...idk the tweet just made me feel like she thinks we all have a rape fetish and thats what we're here for, when in reality we just want more for their relationship, even if its fucked but hopefully i just got the wrong idea??
EXACTLY. I 100% agree, I think I've misunderstood the intentions as well. I don't think any of us would enjoy seeing Nakyum getting raped, or centralize the story around the abuse- like most of the readers WANT the development, but I'm offput if she's only including the graphic rape scenes because she thinks we enjoy them.
i know, its a really unique and amazing story so i dont want to undermine it because i know the author has more intentions other than some weird sexual fantasy i just dont see why shes bothered that we're sad when in tragedy the whole kinda aim is to make the reader sad, and if its not a tragedy then we'll be happy later..not at a rape scene? i feel like to other ppl we sound dumb when thats the exact kind of story it is but we know what we mean
unpopular opinion but i loved that chapter lol, now that im actually seeing a possibility seungho will find out im more excited. and nakyum and his noona were amazinggg ヾ(☆▽☆)
I second your opinion. It was a good chapter!
