We’ve just passed the half-way point in the story. Gege said in an interview back in February that the manga has about another 2 years to go which leaves me thinking that it’s gonna run for about 250 chapters. I’m assuming that Gege meant he didn’t want to take a break until JJK was done???? Maybe????
Gege has mentioned multiple times that he wants to finish JJK as soon as possible. Honestly, I think he's just exhausted because he is even busier since JJK got popular which is why he's rushing it. He just needs a break and he said in his handwritten letter that he will draw JJK like it's a fresh new series after his break. This is his first published work and weekly manga have brutal deadlines so I get why he doesn't wanna draw JJK for too long.
