saikawa and tsukasa are obviously foils. tsukasa cannot continue loving yusei because he is overcome with insecurity, he cannot continue to cheer and support yusei in his path as an actor, and this has an effect on yusei not taking acting seriously and all being apatethic about it.
meanwhile even tho saikawa knows yusei is a rival in the acting industry, he cannot stand yusei not showcasing his talents and became his support in acting way before they developed feelings for each other. its innate in saikawa's personality.
that resulted to yusei having a stable view on acting and gaining confidence to continue acting further.
