Man I feel super bad for mr college ex boyfriend. He’s gotta Lott’s big feelings he doesn’t know how to deal with and like 0 social graces. Poor dude seems like an adorkable character you can sympathize with, but he’s totally undatable until he learns to express himself like an adult
Like if he’s struggling that much it’s probably pretty hard to get a lot of meaningful relationships in his life in general, despite not internally being such a bad dude
this series is very cute and funny but.... Jesus the emperor is a terrible ruler. He is shirking his duties, surrounding himself with sicophants, and is volitilely lashing out at servants who did nothing wrong. Not exactly leadership skills that garner respect -_-
To bad none of these novels ever have this sort of behavior come back to bite rulers in the ass. Like if you’re a volatile maniac and surround yourself with advisors that are to afraid to disagree with you, you’re not gonna get good advise bro
I think it’s whack that so many transmigration Webcomics have “fearsome powerful emperor king” types that actually terrible leaders who abuse their power but it’s all forgiven because they are abusing power in a way that highlights how much the MC is loved. At best, the MC, despite being loved madly, puts up a feeble effort at scolding for this behavior rather than leveraging her power to try to create actual change in the people or political landscape around her.
Aaaahhhh rant over. I still love this comic, and the genre itself - even if some of the tropes they perpetuate are a little backwards!
