The story began with a devil trying to shed his nature to become human. He was tricked into marrying a sick boy instead of a woman but he cared for the boy and when the boy dies he returned to being a full fledged devil to use his power to restore the boy. He set up spells so that when some human was ready to barter its soul the devil could make contact and grant a wish in exchange for the parts he needed to restore the dead boy. The other couples in the story make those bargins. Their stories are about the circumstances that prompt the humans to contract with the devil. The last featured couple are step-father and son. Their being related is the result of an arranged marriage. A young boy is married off at great expense to a much older woman. Only this woman has an evil son who murdered his mother for her money only find that she had left it all to her new husband. Whilst palnning to kill his new step-father the son finds himself attracted to the new step-father. He decides to have the defenseless boy before killing him and then finds that his feelings run deeper than simple lust and he instead casts himself in the role of the boy's protector. The last chapter (posted 05/16/2015) shows the step-father mired in insanity due to having an abusive mother who he saw murdered by his father who also murdered his mother's lover (the lover appears to have been the step-father's crush), has run off to face the ghost's of those murdered by his father. He blames his self for their deaths which deepens his madness. Lost without the step-father he is falling in love with the son sets out to find his step-father. And that is where it ends.

the devil was not trying to become human he was trying to live his life as a human until he got lonely and broth the little boy from his family .. they trick him the boy was dying anyway by that time he grew to care for the boy, so when he died . he wanted him back so he put a spell that anyone say they wish they would die or what ever would come to him and he takes what he needs from there bodies for the boy..

The boy wasn't sick or dying. The MC was tricked into thinking he was a girl, but he wasn't dying. The first wounds was from the villagers, and his death was because he picked poisonous herbs. Because he was trying to find a herb that the MC had never tasted.
