1. That is one annoying ass kid.
2. Asian parents never act this way with their annoying ass kids.
3. Asian parents still don't act this way with their non-annoying ass kids.

I agree, there's not a lot of spoiled brats in asia, try doing these behavior and you'll be spank.

Are there alot of spoiled kids like this else where? Honestly I'd get my ass whooped if i touched something, let alone ask for it.

    So true.
Dad: I...I... Shouted at my daughter...

Me:ah that's normal. My dad would karate chop me and I admit I was a huge asshole when I was a kid. Can't deny that I am not one now

    Nicholas Hale May 26, 2016 5:16 pm

How can you speak for all Asian families? ^^; I'm Asian, and as a kid I acted like she did too. A lot of kids act like that. It's immature behavior, yes, but that's because as kids some of us don't understand gratitude yet until we mature. You could say kids are annoying in nature unless that kid is a very mature kid. My parents did not overly dote on me either, but they weren't super strict either. Like any other parents, really.

Putong is ba-thump, as in the sound of heartbeat. His heart skipped a beat. It's pronounced as pu tong in Mandarin

"En" means okay in Chinese, in this case, a soft sweet okay where no more words are needed.
Idk lol I made that up but that should be it

See, we Chinese usually have 2 or 3 words in our names. The first word is always the surname, the 2nd and 3rd is our name. Usually, when you're calling out to a friend, you leave out the surname, yeah? We usually call a friend by the 2 words at the back, and Jian called Xi by the last word only. It's quite a close/intimate thing to do. It took me 5 years with my bestfriend before I could call her by the last word of her name.

    KyoZaNa✿ June 23, 2015 9:24 am

    Thanks, that's very useful info.
At first I thought 'Xi' meaned something special or the way he pronounced, caused them blushed that much. ( ̄∇ ̄")
Looks back, everything suddenly changes so much; ZZX turns to be a sweet romantic guy from the one who kept smacking. Now they look like a lovey-dovey couple already. (≧∀≦)

    KyoZaNa✿ June 23, 2015 10:41 am

Now we're lucky have Chinese friends here.
What's the meaning of 'Xi' then? (●'◡'●)ノ

Lucky we have Chinese ppl here, I wish I could understand japanese and chinese, so I don't need to wait translate (▰˘◡˘▰)

    Asian Unicorn June 23, 2015 11:40 am

I read the Chinese ver. of the new chapter, and the word Xi is 希. It doesn't really hold any meaning if it's just a single word like this. but this Xi is usually paired with another word Wang 望, giving it the meaning "hope".
Calling my friend by only one word in her name makes me super embarrassed, I can probably imagine how Jian and Xi both felt since THEY LIKE EACH OTHER MUAHAHAHA

I know, right? The Chinese comments for every update of 19 days are so freaking many, I am curious to know what they all say, mainly because I want to know if people have gone through the same emotional ride I had gone through when I had read that darned latest chapter! Imagine my frustration when a bubble just pops up on weibo saying that I should log in to see more comment. So frustrating. But patience is often rewarding.
