Okay, I know everyone is talking about how Seok-il deserves an answer, which I agree with. He does and the MC, Woohyun is being foolish, but I think he just doesn't know what to say and maybe even how he truly feels. He seems really wrapped up in his old feelings for his ex, Minhyuk, but not really seeing Minhyuk for who he is now, just who he was in the past. I felt that Woohyun was wavering in this chapter - not really feeling it from Minhyuk and questioning his actions. I am not excusing his actions.
BUT can we talk about, Minhyuk...i mean how many times did Woohyun tell him to stop and he just kept forcing Woohyun. Minhyuk is not being very respectful of how Woohyun is feeling in that moment, I just see Minhyuk as being a bit selfish. I am really not sure about his motives, and I am not sure he really cares for Woohyun the way Woohyun thinks he does. Maybe its just me but I get some questionable vibs from him.
A couple theories...
One Hayato is a relative, either a younged brother or cousin to Ryou's unrequited love interest. Possobly for two reasons one, Ryou says Hayato's voice reminds him of his senpai. Two there is a moment on page 11 ( http://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/hajimari_wa_subete_uso/uu/mpn_chapter-2262217/11/) where Hayato pushes his hair behind his ear, just like Ryou's senpai did in the panel next to the one with Hayato. Having a similar voice and mannerisms makes me think he is a relative.
Hayato also asks Ryou if his face was similar to the person whose his voice was similar too. Again, a relative might have similar features too.
Two, if Hayato was in love with Ryou's senpai maybe he followed him to university where he would have seen Ryou, thus he's known Ryou since then. Maybe Ryou only had eyes for his senpai and never notice Hayato before.
Third. In this translation Hayato says "The person I love got married, and I am lonely." He does not say IN LOVE with, just a person he loves. You can love a relative without being IN LOVE with them. This line could the "lie" the title is speaking about either a full out lie or just not the full truth.
I definitely think Hayato had eyes on Ryou during the wedding and followed him. If he did know Ryou in university maybe Hayato's known about Ryou's unrequited love since then and used the line "The person I love got married, and I am lonely" knowing it would get sympathy from Ryou, giving him the in he's been looking for to get Ryou to notice him.
Just my two cents.
Cool, I just read this last night and look there is a new chapter!
I really want to see Utou happy, he deserves it. I did not care who it was as long as he gets his happy. In regards to Shiratori, I just hoped we get a better explanation for his dislike of Utou. I like Shiratori in the beginning but they was he has treated Sasaba sucks. I was expecting more drama after Sasaba found out that Shiratori was just using him to get at Utou. Rushing off to Utou feels a bit rushed in my opinion.
Well, I know this is a petty little rant...just found this on Tapas under a different title (Breathless) but why do some translators feel they have to change the names into English? And not just English, but stupid unimaginative names at that. Bin He is now "River," Hai is now "Sea" and Hai's former girlfriend is "Lake". Common your readership is not dumb, so please don't treat us like that. I'd like to support the author but I will continue to read this translation just for this reason. Sorry, it just bothered me.
I prefer the original names too even if it is hard to remember the names at first if a person keeps reading the story I find for myself it doesn't take long for it to be easy to remember. It doesn't matter if the translated version of their names DOES mean that I do prefer the original, although the meaning of their names are interesting and pretty I still prefer the original. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭ (๑•ㅂ•)و✧
I guess for me it is almost like if someone were to take Junjou Romantica and change the names of the characters to English ones even if those names were the official translation of their names I wouldn't like it. For one thing it kind of takes away from the original concept and uniqueness of the ethnicity of the webtoon/manga artist's origin. Σ(っ°Д °;)っ(⊙…⊙ )
So for me I prefer the original and will ALWAYS stick to it.(▰˘◡˘▰)
I also prefer the original names because somebody named Lake or River sounds awkward, but I don't really understand why it would be more respectful to the original material. The author wrote those names in a way they would mean something, the readers in the original language keep reading them seeing their meaning. If we translate the conversations but not the names, we are the ones missing on some information that was put there.
Leave it to a cat to bring our MC/ML together.
