I read the novel and it’s sooo worth the slow build up and tension were gonna get cause my godddd do they get down and dirty

Omg it took me forever to finally figure out what’s going…so it’s just a huge misunderstanding on both sides
I think haeil is in an alternate timeline or his soul has rebirths every time he dies. His first timeline he died saving the child and then was put in a different one so he can makeup with Pado. (My English isn’t every good so please excuse the mistakes) HEAR ME OUT:
First chapter: Haeil remembers saving a drowning child and then hears voices and BAM he’s on a bus. His memories are fuzzy and he even thinks to himself that he feels like someone injected someone else’s memories into his mind. We also see he has new contacts on his phone and everything is familiar but different.
Second chapter:
We see him dreaming of fireworks and pado! I think the fireworks mean something because they’re reoccurring!!!
Fourth chapter:
They get into an argument and he turns into water! So now we know there’s a supernatural element to the story. Haeil stumbles and proceeds to die again for the second time!! And he even thinks to himself he doesn’t know what’s a dream and what’s real!! He begs for another chance and then we see three golden streaks with one passing directly through his body!! I think he’s died twice and now is going on to his third timeline. Again fireworks!! We see a mysterious woman feed him something and telling him that’s he’s “deified death” and his body is unstable so he needs to eat this candy. AND he only turns into bubbles when his heart is broken. BAM he wakes up.
Chapter 5:
Haeil isn’t sure if it was real or not cause he only wakes up with a headache and star candy in his hands. And then more fireworks! We get to the next day and he’s even jumpy around a friend -Kang Daeung- who he vaguely remembers.
Chapter 6:
Haeil is starting to remember who is who, he even says “this person is…Yeo Kangyoon.” Also we see Haeil bumping into Pado all the time now… weren’t they in the same school before the accident? So why are they know bumping into each other? Hmm…
Chapter 7:
Again, pado and Haeil fight. Haeil turns into water after being called selfish and told off by Pado. The star candy reverses the effects.
Chapter 10:
We get a flashback of young Pado and Haeil praying to “Grandmother” who is the dragon king… her portrait comes up a lot too!
Chapter 12:
We get Haeil sick! :( we learn that Haeil used to compete in swimming and liked doing it because swimming saved pado life…something he forgot… Haeil is having a pattern of having fuzzy memories or recalling certain events.
Chapter 14:
We get another flashback! This time it’s a women, Pado, and Haeil with a narration of the ocean and an important statement “Rebirth comes after death. Just like circling whales” ~~~ the foreshadowing ~~~
Chapter 16:
We get to know from Sanho (Pado sister) POV that Pado’s mother died from drowning. And that during Pado second year of middle school he moved to Seoul but was like an empty shell ~~ and Pado resembles his father a lot…
Chapter 18 & 19:
The song that Haeil sings with his band is about the sea!! So many connections to the ocean/sea in mostly all the chapters.
We get a cute flashback of young Haeil and Pado kissing :,). So we know their relationship wasn’t one sided. They liked each other!!
Chapter 28 & 29:
We finally get a long awaited flashback!! How Pado and Haeil meet!! And who the mysterious lady that keeps saving Haeil ~~ it’s Pado mother!! These two chapters explain how Pado mother ended passing away and how Haeil saved Pado and feels guilty not being able to save Pado mother. They also use the same (dragon king) shrine for Pado mother funeral ~~
With all these little nuggets… I think Haeil is being given a chance to make up with Pado. Every time he dies he goes to an alternate timeline/his soul rebirths. Thats why everything is so fuzzy and their so many things about rebirth and life circling ~~ let me know your theories kekekeke~~~
Honestly if Dan had stayed he would have been JK punching bag for all the frustration he’s feeling right now. I can’t wait for this arc to be long and well deserved!!
I really suggest yall read the novel on tappytoon because manhwa does leave out a lot of little interactions leewon and ceasar have cause they really do match each others freak in the novel. The manhwa isn’t doing the novel justice and fans are missing out on how much leewon actually loves Caesar. Also leewon is way more unhinged and 100% funnier
