Oh, I meant for a BL mc. Most BL mcs are from regular families or are commoners who are dense and eventually fall for the ML who's rich or smth. BL mcs that are royalty or have a high status aren't usually so dense since they have some power in the story. So it's no surprise that Etienne isn't so dense and naive like other BL mcs since he's a royalty and knows what's happening his kingdom.
