The second hand embarrassment really had me completely disassociating holy shit
This is probably going to sound like an odd question but I'm seriously curious, how do other bl readers (or readers in general) handle rage when a plotline goes bad or a character is frustrating, etc? I find more and more frequently I have no patience for when a manga starts out good but then a stupid miscommunication happens or the seme does something assholey or they introduce a completely unnecessary rapey second lead. Or even if a manga just starts off bad in the first place - the absolute worst is when a character who is just a bad person is written in a way that you can tell the author is trying to make you feel sympathetic toward them. Like he just raped the uke dawg I'm not about to cry that the uke doesn't like him back this is crazy. That kind of thing. I get so frustrated I'll cry deadass and I was wondering if anyone else is in the same boat or if I'm just sensitive to that kind of thing? How do other ppl handle it?
I just go to homepage and hit delete, no need to waist time on a story that's not to your liking
I just lose interest and feel detached from the story. If the messiness drags on I stop reading it mostly bc I don't have the motivation to keep playing attention. If it's for a few chapters I just rant on the comments and read something sweeter after

Haha that's definitely the right thing to do. Idk why but I always feel like I have to finish it if I started it. I guess I'll make an effort to detach and not get so invested so I can drop bad ones

Okay hear me out, I've definitely read a couple comedy bls where either the uke can read minds or the seme is just really vocal about it but there have been such funny stories where every serious scene ends up broken up by the seme having steamy fantasies about the uke and is always coming on to him can someone please rec me bl like that??
