She probably felt that since he was so accommodating that he wasn’t invested in the relationship. And she suggested divorce to test that and instead of showing that he didn’t want to, he just agreed to it which ended things. There were probably other problems too but the big issue was most likely how much he would just go along with everything she said. People want someone who can mentally stimulate them in a relationship.

You can feel like you're not doing enough for your partner but also they never give you a chance to take care of them.
