Can someone spoiler me please?? Will the duchess’s take her in? Or will she take iris after finding out she’s her husband child? Because in previous chapters the duchess said she wants to adopt a child who will look like her husband and iris is basically fit that will.

I posted this comment in a reply to someone but after seeing more comments bashing Elisa I feel like I need to post it in a separate comment too.

All of you who’s mad because she doesn’t talk to him need to remember that She grown up in an abusive home. She don’t know what genuine love is. Her parents marriage was broken, her biological father didn’t care for her and she told ginger once that she can’t trust people because even her step mother was nice and loving at first but that didn’t last long and she started to lock her up or hit her when she was having a bad day. In other words Elisa was her punching bag. She knows ginger didn’t marry her for love. He married Her because he needed a good and obedient wife, he even told her that and told her not except anything from him. And then his past lover coming back and making a move on him, Elisa who watched her dad leaving his dying wife for his lover know that marriage is just a word and in the end of the day if she shows her feelings or tell ginger what she really want he might leave her because she’s no longer the quiet wife he wanted. She knows that ginger started to notice her feelings and he still not paying them any attention, what’s mean that he doesn’t really care. And he doesn’t try to talk to her!!! When she ask him about Julia he change the subject, he suddenly tell her not to do stuff and not explain anything. The only way to solve this is for him to man up and face his feelings. Till then he deserve the cold shoulder she’s giving him. She’s not dumb she’s heart. She never been important to anyone and with all his past actions you can’t expect her to see the situation differently.
Also even if we all can see that he care from his actions, she can’t because she grown up in a place where actions didn’t really mean anything because they change depends on the situation. What she needs is words and that’s what ginger not giving her.
Also, People can’t just get over a trauma. She already faced her feelings, and ginger knows her feelings too. She literally said in this chapter that ginger ignoring her feelings mean she already rejected even before she confessed. She in a survival mode. She don’t want to divorce and go back to her abusive home. (She said that too in this chapter) so the only thing she can do is going back to how she acted when they just got married so he wouldn’t get sick of her and divorce her. And remember, he told her not to love him or expect anything from him. Those words are like a curse for her and the only way to lift the curse is for him to take those words back, and the only way to take those words back is for him to face his feelings. Till then she’s in no position to do or say anything really.

No way I just read about a grown ass NOVEL lady crying just because her grandfather (who had guests) didn’t give her attention. God, the secondhand embarrassment I felt can’t be described I literally cringed. And she want to marry a prince!!!! Can’t wait for the downfall of this one.

What is it with high society and assuming?? Like why the only reason Sierra living in the duke house have to mean they are lovers??? They don’t even have chemistry and whenever they seen together they with bunch of other people. And also the duke aides always give him advice and all, you want to tell me that he never heard the rumors about the duke and Sierra? Even the maids in the mansion saying those stuff. It’s not that hard to figure why she stressed and don’t want anything from the duke.

I read the novel like a year ago and it was cute and funny one without useless drama. Kinda happy there’s a manga too.

Does someone know if there’s a novel for this one? And if I can find it translate anywhere?

Guys it’s not because the gift is expensive. In one point he will build her a whole area for horse riding from zero because she want to learn how to ride and woman can’t ride with man. That’s expensive too but she will be so happy she won’t stop to thank him.

The reason she didn’t liked this gift was because she knows about his past with women and she knows that this is not the first time he gifted jewels to women. In other words, this gift is meaningless. And what’s more she’s not like all of his other lovers. She have a contract with him that states that they won’t have feelings to each other. So from her point of view his gift don’t have any special feelings, just something that he do because he use to do it with all his women in one point or another
