The more realistic/mature take on rape seemed like it was going well. He threatened to call the police, he comforts the victim, etc. I was VERY let down that the author took that moment to put in a sex scene. It destroys the whole theme of rape being taken seriously. A common issue that rape/abuse victims have is a fear of intimacy. NO ONE who was nearly raped wants to HAVE SEX IMMEDIATELY AFTER. It doesn’t take much time to research jackshit about victims of sexual assault. Hopefully this story can turn around from this point.
I’m pretty sure the bottom is used to getting raped/ painful. I mean that wasn’t the first time he had been forced to have sex with his “boyfriend”. I’m pretty sure getting beaten and having to get cracked teeth was the part that hurt him the most. I just think that the bottom uses sex as a way to calm his “boyfriend” or ask for forgiveness/thank him, and he used that thought process to think the doctor.
