I'm missing a cultural context with the parents thing, I've never been to a Japanese wedding, but I know some of the guest etiquette from friends, so just that aspect alone is expensive af. How does the number of guests distract or diminish how important the parents are? Traditionally, guest that aren't immediate family aren't even part of the Shrine ceremony, like they watch from a distance so having that many guest just means more witnesses, but considering their venue they're not even doing a shinto ceremony (from what i remember) so im confused on why this is the issue she's sticking to and not what it really is - that they have over 300 guests.
We're almost done guys, we've almost made it and we just going full circle they both suck at communicating.
