Welp... in many years as an otaku... i concluded most (male) mangakas know sheet about women's clothing...
To the point it gets ridiculous... from wearing clothes like 3 sizes smaller to tops that "glue" on the underboobs to lady bits being delineated by the pants even tho they are jeans... lady adventurers/fighters usins skirts as if they have no qualms showing panties to etc... ┑(￣Д ￣)┍

My favorite is in animes, girls skirts defy gravity even when they stqnd at top of the ceiling. I watched a video about those scenes cut together it was hallarious.(≧∀≦)

omg, ikr?! It's so annoying that it's also kinda everywhere mangas, animes, etc. And it's also like there is no escaping that one objectifying, perverse character. Like I can get having a character who may be flirty for comedy, but then the writers go too far and just plain out objectify women. Obviously it isn't real but it does not mean it does not also happen irl.

Anyways back on topic, I think it's really annoying when I read anything adventure or actionish, and see a girl wearing a skirt with nothing but panties underneath!! Like bro, if you are an adventurer you need to be mobile and a skirt really isn't it. Especially if you are going to go all, "Kya~'" when it fucking flips up or whatever. (╬￣皿￣)凸 Skirts and dresses are so fucking unpractical, skirts can be an aesthetic as long as you have idk, fucking shorts under, however dresses are a deathwish depending on length and puffyness(?). Lets not even talk about any games in general when it comes to females armor practicality bc that will just make me blow up with frustration.

But what can you do bc it's all for the male audience and the perverts who get joy in seeing females panties without others consent. And that's also why I have so many problems with anything that has a female's shirt ripped open or their panties flipped and someone from the main cast just fucking stare or actually touch her! I just don't understand what is so hard about avoiding the objectification of women?? Like I can get some fanservice moments, whatever, but it's animes like FairyTail when I am like, "Seriously?? (╬￣皿￣)" I just wanna watch or read something that has the female characters wearing something that isn't objectifying. Obviously there are some exceptions in my case because sometimes some women in animes or whatever wear more 'seductive' clothing because it is their choice and style preference maybe? Idk, it's really complicated to explain. Don't feel pressured by me or whatever if you have a different opinion though!

Nope... i totally get you! Is annoying when they sexualise female characters unnecessarily... like... it's not even harem or romance... just a normal shonnen with action and comedy... but they need to do that to them to get more male attention...

Oml, I understand what you mean! It's when you see these moments that I get frustrated because there is no reason for the sexualization when you have a highschool romance. And I think one of the major reasons I don't like harem is because it's normally based around the sexualization of females. Plus they just don't sit well with me, like polygamy is totally different than a harem. I would much rather see a relationship between more than one person be about loving everyone and not just one person and competing for his/her attention like dogs.

And that is another thing, I hate it when they make women into these pitiful, whining, conniving, bitches who just want the male attention and can't do anything with a male counter-part. Like girl, if there is a zombie coming at you, I get you are scared, but pick up something close to you and swing it!! Or at least try to run away!! Like these shows are obviously trying to appeal to the male audience that they are people who have to take care of females because they can't help themselves! Like, seriously?? I just want one female who is strong and independent without her being sexualized or in the end have to be saved by a male because in the end she is a female and can't save herself. (╯°Д °)╯╧╧

My problem with harem, besides what you said, is that usually the guy is not really good enough to attract that many hot girls... but what pisses me the most is that there's no reverse harem. The woman never get to keep more than 1 man. What they call reverse harem is a woman choosing one partner between many suitors. That's not a harem!

That aside... there one, ONE harem I like and that's RE:MONSTER. That's one i recommend.

The dude was a hability user that was stabbed to death by a stalker that he thought of as a little sister (sounds stupid, i know, but he was already do OP that she weren't a threat to him) with a special weapon. After that re was reborn as a goblin... but with the hability he had from the previous life... then his story begin.
There's not too much fanservice, no objectfied woman, except maybe one dryad but she is well a dryad. No overly weird clothing, no annoying women and they are not useless and overly clingy. And the MC is good enough to attract more than one woman. Looks, smarts and personality.
Theres the mangá and the novel. The story is told in his pov kinda like a diary. There is adult content, both the gory and snu snu way but more mentioned than detailed. Which is a plus since those kind of scenes are usually so badly written it gets cringey... （/TДT)/

Definitely! I really want to read a reverse harem but like you said it just ends up with the female with only one partner. Like do they think we can't see the sexism?? Because it is totally fine if a man has many women but if a woman dares to have more than one male partner?? Oh gosh, it's the end of the world!!!

And I read RE:MONSTER and I really liked the beginning but then I think I got irritated at one point so I dropped it. Hehe, I have a bad tendency to drop anything when I get irritated or can't take the second-hand embarrassment.

And adding onto my pet peeves about BL's, is that they typically make women into horny, thirsty, desperate, and just frankly annoying for one of the male-leads. And in some of them, it is like all you see the girls do. Like I get the male-leads are usually handsome because the artists/creators actually care about making them hot, unlike heterosexual male protagonists. But I just get annoyed because it is unrealistic for all of these women to act like that??? Idk.

Right??? It's really absurd how they are sexist even on comics directed for women!

There's a lot more that irks me and makes me cringe... and there's also the counterparts of the annoying/ugly bl women: either the jealous women after the ml or the other hot male that will do anything to have her... just so the ml can act the hero saving the beauty. And don't even get me started on the mc's weak ass personalityand body!!! The bish can toss all night long but can't even truss a chicken in daytime! ヽ(`Д´)ﾉ
In the end... I went to the Chinese and Korean novels and comics... they are full of clichés... but thers a bigger/different variety of the japanese ones... ╮(￣▽￣)╭

Yeah... It is so annoying how it's like if you want to read a nice romance you either have to go to like- shounen ai and just plain romance. Cute, but also like to see the relationships work up to something more. And in the end, you have to pick your poison, because while BL's normalize rape and what-not, but heterosexual novels do it too!! But on a much worse level in my opinion.

And even though most BL's are directed to women it still ends up having them being used as chess pieces. And obviously, we know exactly what's wrong with heterosexual ones so I don't need to list everything out. （￣へ￣）

But at the end of the day no matter how much I gripe, I will always go back to the BL's to avoid the heterosexuals comics nonsense. （/TДT)/

And I also hate how in a lot of the heterosexual stories the women are really weak, and when they are strong in the end they have to submit to the male-lead!! Like some make a point of how 'strong-willed' and super 'independent' the FL is, only for then to turn around and be like, she is still below her male-counterpart.... AGGGGHHHHHH!!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? It really makes me mad. Like in some stories I get it because it is the dynamic and I can be there for it, but you know, if a woman is painted as strong and independent I better have her see it through! (╯°Д °)╯╧╧

And don't even get me started on the jealousy parts. Makes me so mad because in the end it either goes that the male lead forces himself onto the FL and then abandons her without listening to her as she is begging for him to listen or the female lead doing the same, just without the whole rape thing. Like no matter where you go, in heterosexual comics/novels/mangas, there is always the same cliche and there is no avoiding it.

Like is it so difficult to make drama not so cringey and cause me to just skip over it all because all of the jealousy and just bad feelings, in general, are based on misunderstandings? ┗( T﹏T )┛

The worst I recently saw was a smut about a dumped drunk ol who caught her gay af boss in the act in a bar, ended up as his secretary, fell for him, turned out he was bi, they got together and then... his exes and men interested in her keep popping up more than popcorn! I get shivers just remember the cringe!
Recently I'm into the trope of quick transmigration bl with bottom mc's... in those there's a lot, a lot of kinks... bit at least in most of the rapey scenes he is actually more than willing... but has to act as if he is not so he won't go OOC... my biggest complaint is the top usually ends up being the same person in all worlds but I can deal with it... xD
Face of the devil and Perfect destiny are two that are translated to english and complete... Even the ABO arcs, that I usually aborr are good to me...

The supposed ml already appeared... he is weaker than her and trying to not fall to behind... crafty type... still doesn't know she's a woman... hue...
Perfect Secret Love: The Bad New Wife is a Little Sweet. Novel and comic. At first you think is a cliché modern chinese novel... overbearing CEO × betrayed Fl that went back to the past... but boy... its a roller-coaster of plot twists... She does depend on him for a lot for some time... since at the start he was... well extremely overbearing and overprotective... but her mentality slowly grows stronger and her body too...
Zombie sister strategy. Novel. The mc wakes up after the zombie apocalypse started... in the body of a zombie that clearly is not her and goes on getting stronger in the path to find her family... the ml is OP but she doesn't fall behind... and there's a couple twists too...
Cheating men must die and Antagonistic goddess... both qt comics with strong vengeful female mcs. Antagonistic also has a novel under the name of Coming of the villain boss. Practically no romance, no nonsese gluttonous mc.
There's also cannon fodder records of counterattacks... comic and novel... but... the comic is not great... and the novel is 4k+ chapters... she was really a weakass at first... almost no help from her system... but character building wise I think is the best... you can feel her growing and maturing over the worlds and missions.... theres comedy but no romance at all...

Honestly I like QT cuz I can read by arc and stop between to read other things too... and... theres a variety of plot and words... from cultivation, showbiz, futuristic, ancient... all flavors of clichés... and as each arc has an end it's not long enough for me to get too bored of them...

Lastly... Trash of the count's family/house. Comic and novel. No romance, a lot of ships cof... some cuteness, some comedy... encarnated mc... western fantasy... a couple plos twists... a lazy and smart mc that ends up dragging himself in a lot of trouble trying to escape a initial beating from the mc of the book he got into...

Sorry... i recommend too much... and too many novels... i just can't help it since they stray from the clichés we get used to in mangago in general...

And the funny thing is that I have read a lot of these!! Though I did drop Antagonistic Goddess due to it just sitting in my tabs and me never going back to it. A personal favorite of mine that you recommended is Trash of the Count's family, which has me cackling whenever I read it, plus the art style is just-- ლ(´ڡ`ლ)!!

I also love almost any type of QT because like you mentioned, very easy to read and you are not stuck in just one type of environment with the MC and ML.

You have probably read these but some of my favorite simple BL novels that are a pretty quick read:

'I'm not Human' an interstellar BL novel that's super cute, but the MC is pretty overpowered. Super hilarious though, and the scenes between the ML and MC are so cute! Also, it's complete.

Another interstellar one that's a BL novel is, 'The Film Emperors daily Live Cooking Broadcast,' yes it's a long name. Super cute, though I will mention that even though they mention that the MC is an actor, he is kinda retired due to circumstances, so don't expect an actor novel. And forgot to mention but it is transmigration/reincarnation(?) too. It is also completed!

I am currently reading through 'Vanguard of The Eternal Night,' it is a cute BL with spicy scenes (≧∀≦), however, the MC is pretty overpowered, just a slight warning. Basically, an assassin transmigrates into a random person's body and goes and competes in these tournaments that are like those fake realities things? It's hard to explain so you would have to read for yourself to understand. ╮(￣▽￣)╭ also, one thing I enjoy about this is that unlike the others, this is made from mainly the seme's POV, which is kinda rare to find. It is sadly not completed, but the updates flow in regularly so I don't think it ever will be dropped.
