She purifiys through touch OR blood. I assume it has a distinct smell to wizards and mages. So when she pricked her finger the blood signalled her purifier powers through smell. Does that make sense? Or is this mad rambling?

That is a good point. I suppose I'm just tired of FL leads not talking things out with the ML, and all the following misunderstandings. They will eventually talk it out I'm sure but I stick by that it will be an uncomfortable conversation no matter when it happens. However, thank you for for thoughts ans mentioning how her specific situation is different.
I totally agree with you, it's an over used trope for cheap drama.
I hope it'll be different since there's a special circumstance. But then again we're talking about a plot that forgot the older sister existed last chapter... I'm not sure what to expect.
