This is one of the rare occasions where I am actively rooting for the 2nd lead love interest, and it’s painful knowing that the relationship that’s tip-toeing the lines of being incest has a 99% chance of winning in this story. I predict that the author will paint Hojae in a light that makes him just as obsessive and controlling over MC as the step brother currently is, whether that’s through assault (which it probably will be) or some other form of confinement, that will then cause the odd behavior from the step brother seem heroic/ right, ultimately making Hojae irredeemable and solidifying his place as a friend. At first I was trying to follow along with the step-sibling thingy (which feels unpleasant to even admit) and give them the benefit of the doubt, but the more lore we uncover about their upbringing, the more I feel like MC was very much groomed by his step brother, and that gives me the ick.

Man I agree with you, their past is just icky, but the author is too focused on having them fuck instead of developing their relationship, that hojae ends up as a considerably better lead....I really hope your prediction doesn't come true (even tho I fear that's wat the author will end up doing) and hojae gets his peaceful spin off or something

Was the MC always this…Airheaded? I just don’t remember him being this complacent and meek. From what I remember he was spunky and had a some wits about him…He also wasn’t the type to just lay down to others *cough cough* the pink haired guy who’s ACTUALLY a high schooler and younger than MC. It just feels like he’s been consumed by the victim complex twink virus

What was the purpose of even having MC interact with the white haired guy, or even putting him in the position as his fated mate? A complete nice guy being thrown around for no reason at all…His character just makes no sense, especially since MC doesn’t falter/has conflicted feelings for each ML options, he EXPLICITLY only has feelings for the black haired brother…White haired guy is just wasted space…And (spoiler) he doesn’t get a happy ending. He has the pleasure of watching the kid that his fated mate and crush had with another man, none other than his brother. Holy L. What did he do in his past life to have to go through this lmao?

Holy brain dead comment section. I can now finally see why so many people haven’t made it past an elementary reading level. DESPITE the fact that this is a comic that contains little text and A LOT of pictures for context, more than half of you guys lack critical thinking. YES. Current Jaekyung is an asshole POS, we understand that. BUT that doesn’t give you the right to undermine and discard his upbringing. HE WAS A CHILD, one that was neglected and abused mentally, physically, and verbally. His dad was literally always high, drunk, violent, and strung out, and was constantly berating him whenever he got the chance. That’s brutal and would fuck anyone up. Truthfully, I don’t understand how so many people expected him to do a 180 flip on his behavior when he became an adult when we have so many real life examples of people who grew up like him, being what they went through! Why do so many people who grew up around alcoholics or druggies end up doing it? Influence and trauma. Why do the abused become the abusers? It’s how they were taught to handle situations. Why do the manipulated become manipulative? Because they don’t want to be betrayed again. I could go on and on, but the current adult Jaekyung is a reflection of his past. AND before you start jumping down my throat, NO he isn’t right for projecting his trauma on Doc Dan. NO ONE WHO GOES THROUGH TRAUMATIC SITUATIONS OR HAD AN ABUSIVE UPBRINGING SHOULD CONTINUE THAT TRAUMA/ PROJECT IT ONTO OTHERS. That’s at least how it should be, but 90% of the time it still ends up happening. The cycle repeats. Look at why so many people are in prison or mental hospitals…But I digress. Back to the story, Dan absolutely does not deserve to be on the receiving end of Jaekyung‘s unhealed abuse/trauma. It’s not fair and it’s RIGHT of Doc Dan to not be around someone as toxic as him. It will be up to Dan to accept Jaekyung back or reject him, which if he rejected him, I wouldn’t blame him. BUT if Dan does decide to accept him back, Jaekyung has a lot of healing to do and a lot of accountability to take on from his past actions. At the end of the day TWO things can be true at once and for people to NOT recognize that is beyond me.

As somebody who knows many people that experience this type of trauma in their childhood, I agree with you 100%. The only people I’ve seen do complete 180s are the people who had light in their life (from a non abusive parent or trusted caretaker). Unfortunately, Jaekyung didn’t have a light (think his mom) in his life. Children are sponges, they absorb everything their parents teach and show them and Jaelyung was with his dad for so long (with no good role model) that he absorbed that behavior. A simple psychology lesson would clear up with misunderstanding. It’s alright to dislike Jaekyung and his actions in the future/present, but dismissing his childhood is absolutely disgusting.
So you both walked into them fucking and heard nothing? Not a breath, not a movement, not a grunt? How did ole boy in doggy hold that position that long without any adjustments??? I have so many questions
Bro, I was thinking the same.
