Well... yeah? It's a story about gay men, so obviously us gay/bi men would like it too. Not sure if I've ever heard of any straight men reading yaoi, so maybe they do secretly.
Well, my uncle would read yaoi so... maybe he was bi, or was just fine with whatever genre really XD We will never know, but it happened
I had a male friend in school who always read my yaoi with me. He was so into reading it, and shipping the characters. That it was yaoi never bothered him. Hes also straight and has a girlfriends since 2 years now and hes still not saying no to any yaoi i offer him.
not all gay men, probably not even most of them, but some of them i'm a gay trans guy tho so i don't know if i count...
Well yeah. I don't know if straight people do read yaoi though. I'm male but I'm more pansexual than straight so...
Male fans of yaoi are called "fudanshi" - yes, they exist enough to have their own group name. Some of them are gay, some are straight. A lot of yaoi/shounen ai is romance at heart - people who like romance (and aren't bothered by gender) will read it.
A couple of my straight guy friends along with a gay guyfriend of mine have read it before/read it currently. I dont really thing that gender has an impact on the story, i just think reading a manga relies a lot on the art style and story-telling. If its good in those factors practically anyone can enjoy it.
Guys/straight men also like to read yaoi?
