She's standing up to the king so she can help people, and heading out in to a warzone because even after all that trauma, she's willing to place her trust in Lavane despite her doubts. I didn't say he's being abused. So far, all we know is he's been taken in by something called "the cleanup party" which doesn't sound child friendly, and that they're not letting him see FL even though they're friends. You'd think they'd keep the two kids in the same place, since they're not, it's pretty much guaranteed his conditions are going to be way worse than FL's.
