Tbh I almost cried reading the post... I followed TCF since it was still in 100+ and it quickly became my favourite light novel compared to the other with how detailed and wholesome the novel is... I'm sad and kind of angry at the author who is given a chance to profit from the translation but refuse to do so, and since it's a famous novel, I bet some pirate site/translator will pick it up. I'm not sure if they will be as good as miraclerifle but it's sad.... Author needs to know that quite a lot non-koreans read her work and we are fans...

I understand you, but before criticizing the author, you should also realize the author actually doesn't make much profit from English translations. On top of that, majority of people are reading Engish translations on aggregator sites, decreasing their profits even more. The one who seems to be gaining the most would be the English publishing site and the translator, as readers have ONLY been donating to the TRANSLATOR, NOT THE AUTHOR. If anything, it's the author's decision, and I respect that. For all we know, they might have received a better deal from other English publishers or something. And we should be thanking the author that they even allowed English translations for a while considering it's already popular enough in Korea and they frankly don't need international fans to make it popular, since the only reason we got translations and international folks were able to become "fans" is because it was already popular in Korea so they deicded to translate it. Because imagine this: without translations international fans wouldn't even know about this novel, and the author was already doing fine without international fans. At this point, if you are still a fan you would also purchase the novel in Korean (AKA THE RAWS) even if you can't read Korean.
