Having a crush on someone you looked up to as a kid is being seen as problematic- but that’s because you think it’s grooming. But you’re not getting the point of it.
Ok- so the main conflict with the trope within the story is almost always “I like my childhood crush but they only view me as a kid” AND THAT IS SUCH A HUUUUGE hurdle which is what makes it so satisfying when the main character finAlly gets their crush to like them back.
Ngl, it’s questionable for an adult to view someone they saw in their diapers as attractive- but the author took an extra precaution by giving the two of them a 16 year non contact period- in which the knight could mindlessly live without effecting the Prince and the prince could reaaaaallly stew in his infatuation. Meaning the knight did not intentionally seduce the prince and will probably be a hilarious back and forth of misinterpreting the Prince’s advances as “oh he wants to be spoiled like a kid since he’s 20”.
I for one, hope it’s funny.
But to recap, not grooming, this troupe is for those who have crushes with big age gaps, MC is 20+ so honestly it’s legal af, ML got mighty fine boobies
