Uh… in case you’re still confused…
Literature (manga/novels/comics) are harder to make than Moving Media(Videos,Anime, TvShow, Carroon), because you can not control the audience’s speed of consumption. So you have to really stage everything so certain moments HIT hard, or your whole emotion falls through and the reader doesn’t catch it.
Lemme explain that further.
TV force feeds you everything to create the perfect atmosphere. They control every little thing from lighting to music— most importantly, they have control over how long you Live/view a moment. You can not speed the process of a movie, you’re forced to watch it at the directors pace.
Manga isn’t as easily controlled, but it can use techniques like this one does. The way they use panels and staging is sOo fucking good. Think about what moments stuck out to you, and then go back to see what the artist did to make that impact.
It’s not just the staging, it’s the way the Male Lead moves and his actions towards certain stimulus. How many partnerships like this have you seen? How many fall flat. You really believe his desperation, you hold your breath when you see his revelation, everything aligns perfectly like a key sliding into lock, and your reward is a masterpiece of an introduction.
I’m trying so hard not to spoil shit but DuDe just read it. If you can’t tell the difference between this and other stuff then you probably have only read peak manga. Because this is a fucking gem
