There’s a cliche we’re a FL verbally discusses not wanting intimacy and the ML will do it anyways because: they’re in love, you made me this way, your body is more honest than your words— it doesn’t matter the reason but it turns me off so bad.

I know why it’s done this way, a woman who admits she wants intimacy is often seen as a threat to society as a slut or a dirty minded person. So to move the story along(sexually) we get scenes we’re the ML makes the first move and the FL denies her sexuality, because that’s how some women are in certain situations(culture/timeperiod/ect)

But I dooooont likeeeee ittttt

We have some different kinds of women who don’t do that and take charge- but authors sometimes swap the roles and we end up with “FL tops ML doesn’t want it” which is just as bad.

Any suggestions for a story where FL isn’t constantly refusing intimacy

It’s a ninja village, the girl had long hair that was normally in a pony tail, with one long strand lose on the side, bangs. And a stereotypical cool/silent type ML

She’s a “useless” ninja, and he’s the next village chief, they’re married, and love each other, but she doesn’t know he likes her because she’s air headed/low self esteem/bad communication. Turns out her ditzy way of living was what drew him to her, and he’s been stalking her since she was like five or something. And she him.
