
I was introduced to the word Femdom through a few other manga/manwa's I was reading. Some compared it to being a Dominatrix. But from what I understand, a Dominatrix is a one who issues out pleasurable pain to a willing partner where she is simply the one in control. Whereas the representation of Femdom that I've seen are usually emotionally scarred, sexually and/or gender repressed female who are taking their anger and frustration out on men regardless to if he is willing or not to feel a sense of empowerment. Honestly, I can't decide if this is healthy or extremely toxic. Perhaps I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around this because I'm often told that men find me intimidating and yet I can allow myself (actually enjoy) being dominanted while still retaining a strong presence.
