I’m assuming in the stepmoms case she didn’t like the fact her stepdaughter was married to a handsome guy so she wanted to take him from her essentially ig plus he’s young and an easier target then someone she didn’t know.

From what I understood is that he’s rich since the fl’s dad invested money and took all the fault that happened to that guy’s business and the the fls dad killed himself and somehow after some times that guy got rich and now the stepmom is single and need a man with money, power, honor and title. And the fl loved him since that was the k my thing she knew yk he was with her since they were children and ig she didn’t have any other guy interested in her or didn’t notice and plus I think the stepmom destroyed her confidence and got her thinking only this guy will want to be with me and yk

it's like one of those town/kingdom building games where the main purpose is growth and expansion. Expansion leading to war against other players. But this game extends to realistic simulation and wicked AI of the"NPCs"(qoutes cus they're def not NPCs) and their main selling point are the unique races each person gets. The race will depend on your characteristic as a person/skills and viewpoints. Whatever race you get, you're stuck with it and can't do rerolls by starting over via deleting your acc.
Before people got yoinked into the game, some gamers ruled their kingdoms crazily. Imagine those let's plays youtubers playing town/city building simulators and creating wacky fucked up cities where their people die comstantly...yeah.
Tldr. Tyrants will be brutally murdered or whatever horrible punishment by their dukes and vassals due to past sins they've comitted. Some players also run away cus they will end up becoming into puppet rulers with no mind of their own. In MC's personal opinion, he committed a great sin against the Duke and subjects of his kingdom that he thinks returning will result in death.
It doesn't show in the manwha but on the first chapter in the novel, the GM gave people a choice to walk into a mirror leading to their kingdoms. Some rando toughened up, walked in and everyone saw him get brutalized by his duke and vassals despite it also spelling doom for their kingdom(no king, means game over. Kingdom and everypne in there is dead)

MC's race is a subrace of Celestial. A special one apparently cus a very human looking race is very rare. But it's an unfortunate race to have cus Celestial kingdom always gets bullied by other kingdoms due to their poor stats/skills. Their bad reputation for being the bitch of every kingdom also keeps the cycle going so no tries to stop others from terrorizing celestials constantly.
Originally MC's race have pure white wings but like i said before, MC as a celestial, got his kingdom taken over multiple times. He pretty much game overed 3 times by now and on his 4th try, he gave half of the potion to the duke to change his race. The potion(we see MC use it in chapter 9 of manwha) have severe side effects...i wrote down a whole bunch of spoilers bellow your comment about why MC took the potions and what happened afterwards. It's really loooong. Just know that the potion succesfully changed the Duke's race(since he took half, half of his wings is black). It's not just the duke though, ALL of MC's vassals and subjects have the same kind of wings as Duke but they hide it cus the wings have special meaning. Only Duke and MC openly have their wings out(MC cus he is clueless about the meaning and the Duke cus to him it's special)..
