I read the whole novel and I'm going to spoil it so if you don't want spoilers, just ignore it. I'm so mad at this girl for the majority of the novel, like swear to god. There's so many misunderstandings that could've been avoided if she just talked to Li Lei or anyone for that matter. She's naive, immature, spoiled rotten, and always needs someone to save her. Her one redeeming quality is her singing ability. Aside from that, she can't do anything.
You'd think after YEARS, she'd quit falling for petty schemes and traps but then she ends up getting captured by Li Lei's brother, who's a super psycho with a bro-con. It pains me to say she's such a damsel in distress and both Li Lei and Pei Ziheng never give up on her. She could eat shit and they'd praise her and dote on her.
Her "sister", Xia Yu, is also a piece of work. She's an ungrateful wretch who always took stuff from Xia Ling and made her undergo painful experiences because of her own selfishness. Su Tang's a conniving rat who doesn't want to give up on Li Lei even until the end. She only ends up repenting when Xia Ling sends her to international prison that harbors all types of felons.
Pei Ziheng doesn't have a good ending either, he ends up with cancer and Xia Ling can't bring herself to hate him at the end. That makes me so mad because he literally raped, tortured, abused her PHYSICALLY AND MENTALLY but because she reminisces all the "good" memories they had, she doesn't hold it against him.
The only people y'all really fuck with is Feng Kun(god bless his soul, best character in this bitch) who tries to help her in her first life by telling her to control her temper and gives her advice, Xia Moyan(her brother) who also saves her on MANY occasions bc she can't do shit, Ah Wei (Feng Kun x Ah Wei btw) who brings some sense to her life bc she has no COMMON sense, her kid whose name i forgot, the cat and Er Mao. Aside from that, this was a roller coaster of teen angst, tragedy, comedy, and very little happiness. For every 30 grievances she suffers, there's only one scene of happiness or sum. The fate of the phoenix is TRAGIC.

I actually once decided to read the novel but accidentally saw a spoiler in the comment section, because of my curiosity I decided to read it and after reading that spoiler I have little expectations in this webtoon now.......
The novel ratings isn't actually that good that's why I didn't read it and since it had so many ch I felt overwhelmed by it......
Before I thought Li Lei would be the best man for her but now I feel like, him and Pei Ziheng are just the same......
And then when I first read this webtoon I thought even though the FL is mentally traumatized because of what happened in her past life she will become a strong women that will be able to go through any challenges easily, but then again I saw the spoilers so I really felt like she didn't change at all, I know that she was traumatized but I feel like her character didn't improve at all which I think is pretty stupid......

Pei Ziheng was so messed up. He pampered and spoiled Xia Ling so badly in her first life that she was very hateful. She relied on his favor a lot, which ended up being her own downfall. Towards the end of the novel, XL asks Pei Ziheng for Valiant Song, which was XL's horse in her first life. If you read the novel, you know that Valiant Song was a purebred horse who basically only allowed XL to ride her. After XL reincarnated, Valiant Song recognized her and allowed her to ride her again but this was before PZ knew that XL had reincarnated. He thought that Valiant Song was an unloyal horse, that the horse should suffer because she let someone other than XL ride her and broke the horse's leg, making the race horse essentially crippled(he also had the horse whipped). PZ didn't want XL to find out he's a crazy animal abuser and went to the stable and wanted to use a gun to SHOOT Valiant Song dead to cover up his own guilt. XL arrives at the scene to see him kill Valiant Song and because she's pregnant, she ends up fainting and they have to call doctors but the baby ends up okay. At the end of the novel, when she finds out PZ has cancer she still ends up feeling bad for him and essentially forgives him. She makes him promise her not to die and says if he dies, she'll never be happy and she'll be depressed. The baby's godfather is PZ too. When she tries to see PZ at the hospital, Li Lei's crazy brother Li Feng shows up and abducts XL. He wants to torture her and kill her but she's saved by her brother, Xia Moyan. They didn't save her in time though so she suffers a miscarriage. If only they killed Li Feng the first time around, this wouldn't have happened. PZ recovers from cancer bc he wants to live for XL. XL ends up pregnant again after Su Tang is sent to prison. They have a happy family and migrate to another country. When PZ turns 92, he ends up paralyzed and sees XL once again. Then he dreams of their past together from when he first met XL and it's still updating. Judging from the past though, XL's personality really wasn't...great at all.

And Li Lei was wounded badly so Su Tang snuck into a village to steal medicine for Li Lei. She got caught and was raped by the villager. After that, she ran back with the medicine for Li Lei but she got pregnant by the villager. To defend her honor/reputation, Li Lei said it was his kid so Su Tang could live with status since he and Grandpa Li felt bad for her. This was another misunderstanding that caused Xia Ling to be mad at Li Lei for some chapters... And Su Tang did not treat the kid well. She used him as a cover to stay near Li Lei but spoiled him so he could be useless. Then she almost beat Li Rui to death

Yes, Li Lei actually suspects it for some time and tries to gather evidence because he feels like the relationship between Xia Ling and Pei Ziheng is abnormal. I think Pei Ziheng figures it out way before Li Lei does because of his obsession with Xia Ling but I'm not 100% sure about that. Chapter 539 of the novel, Xia Ling plans to tell Li Lei and finds out he already has notes that compare the past Diva Xia Ling to the current her. He then asks her outright if she's Xia Ling and she answers yes.

Unlike other novels, she has to select from options like a real otome game for her answers and actions. it's pretty interesting so far, her past overlaps with the villainess's and it's sad af. I'm looking forward to more chapters.

I didn't very far because I couldn't agree with so much. But Sena(MC, red hair) and Jinri(blue hair) are working at the same office. In the first place, it's nepotism because Jinri's dad forced her to work there and she didn't want to. And when it came time to work, Jinri kinda shoved the workload onto Sena bc she didn't seem interested. Sena's boyfriend and Jinri have a past together, it looks like they were friends with benefits(fuck buddies). Even after finding out who he was, Jinri didn't say anything and the two tried to keep their past relationship a secret from Sena. But Jinri also slept with a male coworker at the office despite knowing that there was this other female coworker who had a crush on that male coworker. Then that male coworker found out Jinri had a former relationship with Sena's boyfriend and didn't say anything. At the same time, Jinri was also making moves on Sena or had thoughts about Sena. It was overly messy for no reason. Sorry if it's not totally accurate but it was just very dramatic. I had to drop it
