In the end, it was the MC who held all the power in the relationship. For such a long time he didn’t have reigns of it until now. The only reason why I’m satisfied with this ending is because the MC knowingly has the power and control. Even if it doesn’t seem like it, he simply can’t escape but he has the control. I find it to be an interesting twist for an ending. This just felt like the most realistic ending for how the story was building up.
(To elaborate on the control and power MC has, its clear the stalker can no longer function without the MC. Tying him up was like reaffirming everything for the stalker and now he won’t be able to leave him alone, the mere thought of being ditched Makes him insane and beg for mercy from the MC. It’s why the MC takes pity in some of the things he’s being told. The stalker even promised not to do anything crazy or extreme in exchange, showing more of the power the MC has taken back. The MC might have some of the power and control back but none of the confidence or backbone to truly leave. Either it’s because he’s a realist to the situation or because maybe he doesn’t want to be bothered to try any longer)

Overall, the story felt emotionless. I’m fine with how it turned out although I wish I could see a spin off if Ian ended up with Hondo

I thought you were misreading characters and having a stark bias at the time with disregard to actual moments that occurred. This is some bullshit. It's not just about this one story. Fan pressure should never be allowed to go this far. Fans are terrible writers and dictating to artists is wrong. I'm opposed in every possible way, plus I'm pissed off on my own behalf as well as any other artist who would be subjected to this kind of torture from a herd of tasteless fans. That's why it pisses me off just as much now as it did then, so I guess you forgot my main point
I heard about the fan pressure and that’s not good in any way (I don’t support pressuring the artist) but at the end of the day, the couple ended the way they ended. And I did say in my first reply to you that I didn’t remember every single comment/point you made. Even then, this doesn’t warrant going after everyone who liked the ending couple. It’s not as if they were the reason or at fault. I didn’t even know myself till I read some other comments after I finished it. Plus, just because the artist wanted it to end a certain way doesn’t mean it would have been the best couple/result.
