The uke is openly gay while the seme is a closeted gay so while their relationship is fine and dandy now, it will get exhuasting and tiring pretty soon. Dating a closeted gay person can cause a lot of heartache and misery. Since the seme is afraid of people's negative opinions, the uke will have to bear with a lot of heartache, broken promises, jealousy, pain and suffering. He will probably take majority of the burn in this relationship. Very soon he will end up feeling suffocated and miserable and their relationship will turn toxic.
Unless the seme comes out (which i doubt he will) i don't see them lasting long.

I for one am glad that we got to see a realistic ending. Normally in other bls, Masaki would have reciprocated Yuji's love or have 'suddenly caught feelings for Yuji after seeing him in a dress', but thankfully this story didn't go the usual cliche route. In real life, people's feelings doesn't just change with the snap of a finger.
Straight people will never, and i mean never fall in love with the same gender, just like how gay people will never fall in love with the opposite gender. If they do they're bi or pansexual but not straight. And honestly there's nothing wrong with that. Straight, gay, bi, trans or pan....love is love and it shouldn't be limited to things like gender, race or sexuality.

Ugh, poor Yul. He seems so mentally and emotionally unstable that i couldn't help but feel bad for him. I wasn't really expecting to empathise with him but as the story progressed, i found myself drawn towards him, especially during the last few chapters. As dumb as it sounds, i feel more pity towards him than the victim. Idk why but i always find myself drawn to broken and deranged characters like him. Seeing him crying honestly just broke my heart. I wanted to hug him amd tell him that everything was gonna be fine. I wish we could've seen more of his journey and see him finally move on from Sian. It doesn't matter if he ends up with someone or not but it certainly would've been nice to see him happy and at peace.

Except the bear seme and the yandere surgeon seme, all the other Semes were just downright piece of garbages. I am honestly surprised their ukes stayed with them despite everything. All the time while reading the stories i prayed that the ukes would grow some backbone and have even self respect to dump the seme, even if its for a short while to teach them a lesson. The main uke was dumber than a shoujo manga heroine and it literally hurt my head to see him acting so dumb and spineless everytime. This manga contained some of the most toxic couples i've seen in bls. Kunimasa is now in my top 3 shitty seme list. I kept expcting that he would have some character development but he honestly got worse as the story went on. If this was real life, his and the other ukes would be getting LOTS of therapy.
What is it with manga authors and their ukes/semes? Literally all of them have semes that complete assholes and ukes that are so weak, spinless and without an ounce of self respect. Easily accepting cheating by their seme, being mistreated, being raped, being abused physically, mentally, verbally and emotionally. Rape and sexual assaults are so easily brushed off like nothing. I have read more than a thousand bls over the years and this concept still surprises me. I don't understand why these things are so normalised even if its fiction. More so because its fiction, you have the power to create a story/character according to your wish. Maybe its a difference in culture but it still astonishes me, even after all these years of reading bl.
Worse part is i can't stop reading despite all this. I am so used to it now that i have become desensitised. To me seeing an uke being raped or horribly mistreated seems so normal now when a few years back i would stay up nights thinking about it. I love bl so much but i wish this culture of normalizing rape and abuse would stop. For once i wish to read a story where the abuser actually gets punished or pay the consequences for their actions. But stories like that are so rare and hard to find.

I literally agree all of your statements. In fact, this story is one of the I consider a classical yaoi. Promise, I like the theme but I do not like the characterization. One instance is the pairing.
In fact, most of the characters are STRAIGHT being paired for each other. I seriously hate it.
Another is the fucking sort of homophobia of that fucking character.

Lmao I agree with you and it concerns me. We've literally got to a point the semes we think are not downright pieces of garbage are literally the bear seme, who actually raped the uke in the beginning (if I remember right) and the Yandere surgeon seme, who planned to impregnate the uke for years to get a hold of him, and was even planning to force him to abort when he thought the child wasn't his. That's how low our standards got for the pairings of this manga, can't help but find it tragically funny.

This is just my opinion but the last arc with all the drama shit was so unnecessary tbh. It honestly ruined the whole flow of the story for me. This story went from 100 to 0 real quick for me. Its good as a one time read but i definitely wouldn't read it again, ever, especially the later chapters. If you're looking for something fluffy or sweet to read then this ain't the story for ya or maybe it is...idk.
Sorry, please don't hate me for this but i ship the mc (uke) with the producer sooooooooo hard. But i know that my ship will never sail.
I know that'd never happen but i'd love seeing a 3p with them
