HELP! Does anyone know this manga?

I don’t remember much about it, but it was a turn back time one. I remember that there was a merchant who was a genius who was skinny, and then really fat (minor character) and that the main characters sworn brother was really good with machines. For some reason I can’t remember anything else. . . Does anyone have any ideas?
