A lot is cut out from the anime, but most of the major storyline is the same up until the last two episodes. The ending is a lot different than the anime before Nezumi leaves, and the character relations seem a lot more grounded because the manga takes to time to show everyone's interactions (especially Shion and Nezumi's).
