I'm so confused what just happened I'm just going to drop at this point
It has been several months since I read it in the novel, if I recall correctly, MC has a demon seed inside his body that he stole in the first part of the story from a youngster enemy. That demon/magic seed was nurtured with the thing the gu clansmen used to attack MC and that was how MC survived.
It was quite remarcable because in that part it felt like that kind of coincidences were predestined or kind of forced to happen, but that is it, it never got a major development over it.
