Y'know I see what the author is doing showing us that Jaekyung is emotionally stunted and is still has no grasp of his true feelings, but damn. Hope he just comes to realisation already. Kim Dan needs some loving. That and I want to see him demeaning him a bit less.
Getting back to this series. This is such a refreshing way of dealing with romance. Often times, we get series that plays with rhe tension between the couple all until it boils down to a confession..
But the author prioritized growth and depicting a much more realistic view of youth.
It is easier to just get Shima to confess and all, but him knowing our cute Mitsumi might probably not be ready for it, not to mention he himself is still working on his craft, adds depth to not only these characters but their budding relationship. We know now, that it isn't just a passing fancy between them, but something more that developed from pure friendship.
Another thing I liked with the recent chapters is Mitsumi's family dynamic. It was so cute to see her interact with them. And very very refreshing. I wish I could read more series like this rather than always see family depicted as a source of one's own trauma (which is a realistic take too for some but, for most of us it is a little more complicated than that).
Okay sorry gushed through this series again lmao.
Now this is getting to the good part. Not that I didn't like the build up. I actually love a slow burn series.

I cried when Kim Dan was going to the sea. He was pushed to the brinked, even with the strongest resolve, taking care of someone in death's door can break even the strongest of wills. I can kinda understand how it spiraled to that.
I am glad Jaekyung was on time and kinda knew he would catch wind about Kim Dan buuuut it is still too soon for me lol. I need him to suffer more.
Maybe he will suffer a bit more. I hope author-nim makes it so.
I liked it but I am not satisfied. Not because I hate yachiyo or anything but I wanted more. I kinda cried during their convo. Always ending up wanting to know if the other person is doing okay is a legitimate feeling and transcends relationships. I can kinda understand why Touji and Yachiyo are not labeling it as anything else yet. I felt that with my friend (and longtime crush who also broke my heart much like Yachiyo with Touji).
But I want to express my love for Kiyoto. He was the most understanding and a really good partner to touji.
For me, it felt incomplete and maybe a sequel is coming since yahciyo and touji has not really become anything beyond friends and Touji still has feelings for Kiyoto somewhat. I want to see how it ends no matter who ends up with who.
Dammit Mincheol what happened man. He is just my type too so I can understand Haesoo and shy it is difficult to let go. He used to be kind warm guy with an upbeat personality. Also with those looks and abs. Dammit you fucking cheater. I kinda want him to suffer but I don't want him to die or something,

But then again Beom' dangerous boy, younger guy, and hot body aura is really pulling me close. How can haesoo be so strong and resist him. I would have folded after I saw Mincheol cheating lol.

Is this a power of friendship kind of bullshit? Yes. Is it at times cringy? A bit. But this is probably one of the most wholesome found family type of story I read recently. Dandadan just beats it but it is up there for me.

It’s been a while since I read something well written like this. I actually like how their relationship is developing and how Jin is not really easily swayed. I like Baek is quite complex. While he likes Jin, he knows he does not want anything casual with him. He tried guarding himself and rejecting him but he is now truly fallen for him.
Incan kinda understand why koutaka did not reach out. They were kids who are not yet emotionally mature so it must have been hard to break the ice after their fight. And they both waited for each other to do so. Usually that’s how even the best relationships break down during our teenage years. When we were young we grew up thinking that “we could always see them again next time” without actually considering the fact that after high school, most of us go separate ways with our friends to pursue other things.
I think it is as simple as that: they were immature children who barely understood relationships let alone gay relationships. It is quite easy as outsiders, and adults even, to comment and say “they should have talked it out” or “koutaka should have tried to apologize” but I think most of us in that position might do something similar to the characters.
Also, kinda laughed so hard when he said he wanted to “celebrate this” and I thought “oh are they having sex?” But the next panel shows decorating the room for a party. Lmao
Ohh this seems good. I saw that the author made Katsutoshi as well which was kinda weird but had a very subtle hint of sadness so I was right to kinda expect the same vibe from this series.
