The way the author explores and carefully balances psychological settings is lowkwy genius, the way these 2 function together despite everything and even how they slowly pry at each others unresolved mental trauma and somehow manage to if not heal but atleast come to terms with it is jsut gorgeous.
The coming of age theme that the author wished to embody shines through cuz the way the character interactions throughout the story is set up is so real.
Also the massive skill improvement in the lighting in season really helped set the tone for alot of the scenes and really just made the impact of all the different povs that we see more jarring and stark. Its so satisfying seein jsut how different each character experiences a particular scene and comparing it with thw others and finding it to be somewhat different
The way this concept with the age gap and the power dynamics in the relationship is so hard to pull off but scaet doe sit so seamlessly that the story feels nothing but comfortable between the main pairing.
