this is like one of the few yaoi that seem to have more than just the small world the story is set in.. reminds me of Dark Heaven and Momentum.

If the king thought he had left for the best but he never ended up marrying any one else either and a few years later they met again and the omega is in such a high political position, something he always dreamt of and they meet by accident and fall in love and end up marrying and they both would have achieved everything they'd ever hoped for...
I can see where you're coming from. It's a pity that we don't see the MC working much and achieving his goals of becoming a politician... I wonder what he did in that other country then as the King's husband. It wasn't explicitly said that he took part in politics there ... it would've made the story a lot better. Well, it's still nice though :)
