Story content aside, Taesung’s internal dialogue was heartbreaking. There’s nothing more heart-wrenching than really caring about someone while also being aware that they don’t have enough space inside them to love you atm. Of course, it’s Taesung’s choice to stay, but it’s so relatable. Those dark nights of the soul where you want to leave them, but you just can’t leave even when your heart is breaking.
A part of me also feels for Sonny - Taesung is right, he’s blindly lurching around the fill the hungry void inside. What feels so sad is that Sonny (whether he’s self-aware of it right now or not) is destroying his refuge by wearing down Taeaung’s heart. I just hope that there’s enough left for both of them when the damage is done.

The lie backfired. Now his past trauma has been fully triggered into his awareness and, once again, he feels he can only love people who don’t love him in return. This feels like a recipe for self-destruction, worse than he has already done...

Like, I get where the author is at - his teasing is like the (stereotypical) socially acceptable way for a guy to seek out emotional information from another guy without putting himself out there. I think what’s tough here is that - aside from them being guys and that they have a complicated sexual history - he wasn’t sensitive to how emotionally tenuous the situation was for a friend. Then again, we humans are awkward and mean so much of the time in order to hide our vulnerabilities. Doesn’t make it easier to watch :(
There’s nothing like beautiful, glowing junk to heal one’s soul of the traumatic past chapters...praise be their romanceヾ(☆▽☆)
