But seriously, I know that it's customary (at the time) for nobles to wed their young daughters but he could've still talked to her about it. That one declaration at the dining table (where the brother's MC gives up his chocolate cake to her) is pretty half-assed. She didn't even know what marriage is supposed to be for God's sake.
