This was a sad story for me. I mean all dramatics aside it's a story about two people who had trauma as children and grew up to not understand what it means to love properly. I guess it doesnt help that the side characters were so horrible, setting aside the one guy. I feel that this story took a very pessimistic viewpoint of life and didn't have a good moral. But I suppose it was a horror story and our characters aren't exactly heroes. It's just sad to me that they accepted that as their truth. I hope they dont go on to hurt more people and families and live quiet lives.
i think the author did a good job though. i don't think they are exactly promoting the behavior. I just wish the author went into mental health aspects. in the end, the mc admonished that many good people do exist. he thought on his 'good' friend that didn't attend the party. he reflected for a on how his choice wouldn't be picked by him. though, his thoughts are interrupted by his partne who prompts him to come on. a few panels before even this his partner made a joke of him being rich. the story the ends with them making a promise of being together forever. where, the promise is he must be the same person in the future. the mc is a codependent. its unhealthy, and I agree its kinda bitter.
spoliers ahead!!!!!
