Yo this ending should be a meme. I ready this story for drama, it has crappy ml, fl remembering all the times he left her lonely in her past life, kidnapping, all the soap opera drama crap, and then that ending was just what?!! Dude, I wanted to know if she ever escaped or what was going through the ml’s head but that ending made me laugh hysterically, like the ash is in a coma theory on steroids and actually being true.

Ml sucks ass, I like that the female lead does some moral grey though and is savage. I dropped because I cannot tolerate ml. He wants to humiliate fl, does not listen to her opinions or care about her and just bosses her around instead, and then likes her the minute she loses weight, and she likes him back after he saves her despite how crappy he was and decides to seduce him. Ick.

Absolute fire, not drawn out to oblivion like some other stories, surprisingly deep

The character archetypes are interesting and well written, and the story within story elements are good but...
What the fuck? Wasn’t she the blood empress? What the fuck is she doing letting Yoem pull so much bullshit? She killed the guys before but now she suddenly can’t? She didn’t even threaten them? She didn’t even call out the guy even when she knew he ripped off the poem and let’s all those bribed officials stay? Is she fucking stupid? Apparently she’s doing all she can to protect herself against Yoem but they never show what she’s doing, and Yoem is still running around terrorizing Kanghee and getting his minions to do his bidding all over the palace without a single sword getting pointed at him.

Edit: I now finished this. Happy ending n shit. Hella rushed I wished it was longer. But....
Why the fuck didn’t we get a scene of Yoem getting the shit beaten out of him? If not murdered, she should have at least horribly disgraced him. I am very dissatisfied.
