I’m glad she gets revenge on the scum instead of dating him. Finally, a sane fl who didn’t forgive the guy on the cover for raping her, imprisoning her, and torturing her, just because he started to act nice. And even when he was “nice” he still kept her locked up till the end. He ends up in a vegetative state in the end due to a car accident, but that’s not even her fault, it’s because of his anger issues, that he was screaming on the phone and driving like a madman. He was mad because she did not reveal her identity to him and faked her death, but why would she when that would risk him capturing and imprisoning her again? She faked her death to get away from him, of course she wouldn’t tell him she was alive. People who say she caused his coma are delusional victim blamers because he caused it himself by not paying attention on the road and being too busy threatening his brother on the phone because the girl he tortured faked her death.

A controversial thing was her abortion. I understand why she did it, because she knew she could never escape from him if he found out she was pregnant. Keep in mind, as sad as it is for the unborn baby, she also didn’t want to get stuck forever with her rapist, and an abortion operation is not pleasant either and with many complications.

Tbh, I liked the redhead the most, though I understand why she ended up with the brunette. But I didn’t like how in the beginning, brunette threatened to ruin her life if she turned out to be faking her feelings for the asshole and he took the asshole rapist’s side. The redhead was really sweet to her, listened to what she wanted, and they were super cute together when they were fake dating (he mentions later in the hospital when his brother is comatose that he was helping her revenge, so that’s how you know it was fake dating and she wasn’t playing with his feelings). I not only liked him very much but also had no complaints about him because he never did anything scummy. But yeah, she ended up with brunette because he protected her since early on in the story and was cooler, so sad for me.

That ending was fast and the wedding was only one panel.

She got a crush on him when she was 14 and he was 18, which is the same as a high school freshman getting a crush on a senior (when I was 18, I was a senior and had a 14 year old freshman crush on me). He liked her when she was 16 and he was 20 (for me the freshman guy turned 15 when I started to like him). Romeo and Juliet laws exist for this reason, because it’s natural for people in similar age ranges (like a 4 year range) to be attracted to each other, and they don’t magically stop their attraction because someone hits 18. As a 20 year old, it was pretty normal for him to crush on a 16 year old, not because he’s into kids or anything.

The fl is a cute fan girl and the ml is a hot Duke who flirts with fl a lot.

You might find this completed in another site, called bringing the nation’s husband home, it has 182 chapters. Super dramatic and full of misunderstandings, like some Wattpad fanfics I’ve read. The guy is unbelievably trashy at the beginning but it gets better. I’ve been on Chinese story binges because they’re so dramatic, and they’re the only comics that will give me my drama fix, so I’m unfazed.

I like how the plot doesn't stay in one place, but I definitely don't like the characters. Youngest brother was trash so I didn't mind his death, since all he knows how to do is bash on his sister and believe outsiders over her, but that mom should have gotten shredded. I'm glad she stood up for herself finally but then like a minute later took her crappy mom along, the woman was still thinking about trying to keep her husband safe after what he did to all of them. At least she never fully forgave her mom, but the the ml kept pressuring them to make up. The ml is a whole other can of trash all together, he gave the fl the worst advice, anytime she wanted to do something he says "don't get consumed by revenge or hate others" or "it's not safe for you" right but he goes and does everything himself. After he sends his men to send a message to not do anything, fl goes out and does it anyways bcos she's sick and tired of being told she's a weak woman who shouldn't do anything, and she gets the documents that saves all their asses, documents they could have gotten since they didn't know the layout of the palace. And guess what he does instead of being thankful? He slaps her for going outside. The most triggering part is that she was rightfully pissed at him for not allowing her to do anything but when he says that it's because he loves her, everything becomes water under the bridge and she even thanks him for slapping her. Wtf? Need I remind you this is the same guy who would go of on that disaster relief expedition without even telling you he was going there, only saying he's going out, and then you had to find out for yourself and confront him? If he's allowed to do that, why aren't you? And why did all your anger at being patronised magically disappear because of his confession? And this fl always listens to the ml except this one time, and all his suggestions are shitty but she still listens anyways even if she doesn't want to. Fl should have a brain of her own and do everything herself. She even knows what to do sometimes but just chooses to listen to ml instead. Also that grandma that appeared in the first few chapters and never bothered to appear or deal with her family again, even though she could have easily forced her son to toss out that trashy murderius hoe instead of keeping her and having her fuck up the family even more (they didn't know she was pregnant until after she had their whole family arrested, very well could have saved everyone the trouble), only the fl was keeping that garbage family alive and I honestly hoped she would just leave them to fuck themselves over. I hope someone tosses this world into a black hole so all the characters in it can just die. If you can get past that, story's decent I guess.

Story’s good, I just wanna know what happened to her ex boyfriend and his wife in the end.
