I was wondering what you meant but then I saw the comments. XD I’m low middle class myself but some people are hating on the MC because he’s rich, and tried to bribe the blackmailer. One person was saying something along the lines of how dare the MC think the blackmailer is the type of person to accept a bribe. I mean, he’s blackmailing, I don’t care if he didn’t want the money. Blackmailers are trash and it was rational for the MC to assume the blackmailer lacks enough pride or is trash enough to take the money. I’m even shocked some people think the MC deserves this treatment from this dude he barely talks to.
Completely agreed. In this case, the MC has not committed any crime, but the blackmailer/perpetrator has: illegal sexual videotaping, non consensual filming, blackmailing, harassment. It blows my mind that people think people they don’t personally like are deserving of criminal treatment. I don’t think social hierarchy should be an excuse to target someone
Not to mention that most commenters are gaslighting and victim-shaming, smh
