Lemme break this down. It’s kind of complicated:
Aria’s grandmother was wedded in the imperial family. During that time she was already pregnant with Aria’s father from her love affair.
Members of the royal family that did not carry their blood will be ordered to drink something so that they will be blessed with the blood of the royalty; kind of like sworn members.
Grandmother and father were both sworn members.
However, alas, truth came to lighy and they were both exiled and was ordered to return to their country.
Aria’s father visited the town were her mother worked as a prostitute and he bought her for one night. Apparently it was a magical night and he fell for Aria’s mother. However, they (grandma and father) needed to return then.
Aria’s grandfather was a high nobility(as far as I remember they were a marquis household) in a neighboring country; heard the news and took his lover and son, declared his son as his heir.
The judge of the empire, was also her aunt.
To summarize.
She was the daughter of the future marquis (her parents got married so she became a legitimate child) of the neighboring country, and a sworn member of the empire’s Royal family.
