i meant it only in case people consider him bi without paying attention to him being with women in past and thinking that way only because he slept with shion (as if his gender was changing every time his body changed)
i hope you know what i mean.. english is not my first language so i might not be that great at explaining ..

1. In terms of gender yes, shion is most likely male no matter which body he’s in. However his sex still changes. I say most likely because it’s unconfirmed whether the spell changes his gender identity and makes his thoughts different but as it hasn’t been mentioned this is most likely not the case.

2. Whether Rui is bisexual or not cannot be confirmed with the information we have. Rui hasn’t talked about his dating and attraction history in great detail. We only know he’s a playboy who’s fucked lots of girls. He was willing to engage in sexual activity with Shion without a second thought but it was due to their fondness for each other. That isn’t to say that Rui isn’t attracted to other males. I think you worded this part of your comment wrong because most people here aren’t assuming Rui is bi because he slept with Shion as a woman but because he didn’t hesitate to jerk him off and then sleep with him as a man.

3. Gender identity isn’t everything. Your sex still matters. Especially to a visual person like Rui. Shion even states how appearance focused Rui’s taste in women is. Even if Shion is mentally a male in his female body to Rui, Shion is a female version of his best friend. Rui considers him his best friend. But still female. And when he changes back he’s male. It’s not readers randomly coming up with this. Using trans people as an example, most appearance focused people won’t register them as their preferred gender unless they pass (when it comes time to engage in sexual activity). That’s unfortunately just what happens. You can’t force people to be attracted to a sex they don’t see as appealing.

4. Continuing on that idea fujoshi are usually straight women. They’re not attracted to other women. Of course they think it’s less hot. Straight porn is hot to straight women bc women put themselves in the place of the girl in the video. But fujos don’t want to self insert with female shion. They just want to observe. Or maybe even self insert with rui. I find it more common to self insert with the seme rather than the uke when reading yaoi (tho I don’t do either this is an observation). So it makes sense that straight women that aren’t attracted to women find this story less hot than smth like bj Alex. And that’s ok. This story is made for people that don’t mind seeing or are attracted (visually) to both genders/sexes. This is Porn with minimal plot after all. It was made as jerk off material. Not an in depth analysis at sex and gender identity.

P.S. I love how you think fujoshi are disgusting but frankly I think rude people who bunch together many different people under a single label to hate them all are way more disgusting. As a bisexual who already has to deal with gay AND straight ppl telling me I’m disgusting because we can’t pick, we’re promiscuous and cheaters.....not impressed. Very disappointed.

I love boy love because generally speaking the relationship progression is more realistic I hate how helpless and stupid females tend to be in romance manga or worse the authors make it seem like females has no sexual desire at all. BL gives me the satisfaction of 2 people falling in love at a normal progression though usually among totally abnormal situations. My biggest problem, is people who try to say that I, a straight woman, am fetishising gay relationships, or gay sex. Which I find weird, because watching people have sex is an actual fetish. And in my case, I have thought about being on the receiving end of anal, and on the giving end dispite being female. That is a fetish. Pegging is a fetish. Yeah, he was by default straight. He was grossed out when he tried to have sex with that fat guy in the bar/club. Bum is the only guy he's interested in romantically and sexually.

Sangwoo was a murderer, psychopath and had a mental disorder so there is no way he would honestly love yoonbum romantically. He only used and tortured him like he would do with any other victim. Yoonbum liked it, because he also had some psychological problems and thought it's okay to be treated like that, if it's done by the one he loves.
Also, I thought this story was supposed to be more about how cruel murderers are and how they could use, manipulate and harm other people.
Probably, if Sangwoo wasn't a cool, handsome guy, a lot of people would take the whole story differently and wouldn't feel sad for him and yoonbum at the end, because that's what they deserved.

hey....um... not siding with sangwoo here but the statement that a murderer, psychopath and had mental disorder could not possibly love romantically is kinda sad. even if a person isnt screwed right in the head they still have feelings. psychopaths can love. murderers can love. victims can love. so this two could have a love that only they can understand and we our opinions are invalid for them. love is different for all people. you could have a dark twisted killing stalking love or some fluffy full of spring love and that is okay.

honestly reading this ever since at the start to the end is liberating i love sangwoo's character and not just his character art but how author potrayed him. i am severly fascinated with him. i also think the ending suits the manga and i already knew its not ' right' to let them live off as the conclusion.

Actually, I thought that psychopaths can't really feel emotions, but they try to understand them and pretend they are like any other person. They use other people and can't really feel romantically about them. It may look like that, but I don't think it would be a true love. I think that relationship, where one person is torturing the other shouldn't be called like that. I know what you mean, but I think that way it kinda looks like people normalize that kind of relationship.
Also I met a lot of people who thought that Sangwoo is really hot and they would like to be kidnapped and tortured by him. This shouldn't be treated as a bdsm story or something like that. There are also some fujoshis, who, for some reason, find two men having sex with each that hot that they don't understand what the whole story is about and don't see how toxic this relationship really is. They mostly read it because it's yaoi. (I mean these toxic fujoshis, not everyone)
Of course I realize not everyone is like that, but there is still a lot of people, who think that way.
However, I don't think there is something wrong with people who are fascinated with character design of Sangwoo. A lot of people find reading about murderers or people with mental disroders interesting and there is nothing wrong with that. The problem is just that some people normalize it and consider as something cool.

Psychopaths can feel emotions, but the can't feel empathy. However, I think, that doesn't change the fact that Sangwoo didn't feel romantically about Yoonbum. He still used and tortured him and in my opinion it shouldn't be considered as any kind of love.

sangwoo's character art is hella hot but its different that people consider his actions as something to be fantasized about. he is dangerous and i dont think people who live a normal life can understand the struggles of someone abused and tortured.

at the start i also thought that two men having sex is hot (it doesnt help that KS is one of the first bl i read) but as i got older and read more i realized that there is more to it with same genders than sex. there is so many complex emotions and that yaoi in fiction is different in real life.

I'm glad that we understand each other. I used to like reading some bl stories with sex scenes but as time passed by I realised that it's not really how it actually works. There's nothing wrong to have sex in relationship, but it shouldn't be fetishised.
I hope in the future there would be more stories that shows the actual problems that LGBTQ+ people are struggling with in their everyday life. It would be a lot more realistic.
I also hope that toxic fujoshis would finally get it someday
