Was going through the novel update spoilers and she doesn’t even become the empress or a princesses, maybe not event a chef. Micheal is not even the crown prince. I guess there’s another prince but he’s sick. FL ends up marrying ML and becomes a duchess. Honestly the whole story is so all over the place. The author clearly didn’t use an outline when drafting this book.

What is the issue? Like why lie about hooking up when you both clearly remember. Like is he trying to start a misunderstanding then come back around and say he wasn’t trying to hurt the ML or he did it to protect the ML? Someone please explain.

Okay y’all I just skimmed through the last 7-10 chapters. Apparently the MC lost his first love (like he died) not sure if it was suicide or not but nonetheless very traumatic for the MC. He feels like he can’t love again and blames himself for his late lovers death. Dude needs to get therapy. The MC & ML need to talk it out. Like why did the MC start something if he knew he could never finish it?

I’ve been here since the beginning, aka I read this in middle school now I’m in my second year of college, the vibes are not here. The over sexualization of the feminine body, rape, force pregnancy, kidnapping and abuse, I find it crazy that this comic use to be one of my go to for comfort. That within its self shows the mental state that I was in and how much I’ve grown since then. I don’t really like any of the couples. It all feels weird to me. That it’s forced upon the audience. Stories like this give BL such a bad reputation. BL needs to step away from abuse, rape and sexual assault/ harassment because it does affect some readers (many which are young women) perspectives on how they’re romantic and sexual relationships should be.

dark romance has existed since forever.
i think a bigger concern in bl specifically is how it portrays gay relationships.
with its "gender rolls" and how the bottom is basically supposed to represent a woman with being feminine and delicate and helpless.
any time i see a bl like that it gives me the ick.

Some of ya’ll need to chill the fuck out when it comes to the Penelope slander. Like the girl is only 18 and like just turned 18. How would you handle this situation at age 17? Not the mentioned just escaping one abusive household to exchange it for another one. She’s literally just trying to survive and gain her freedom. I just started reading the novel and it’s so fucking sad. No person should go through what she’s went/ is still enduring. Ya’ll are just haters and probably would never survive as long as Pen has.

The Duchess is a manipulative narcissistic bitch who not only abuses her staff but murders people too. She just added potential rape (but like others have said she tried to rape the Duke in the past to baby trap him) and you still support her. Where are your morals? Not all romance stories are gonna follow the same plot of the Duchess being the victim. So don’t bring that shit over here and use to degrade the actual victims: Sally & the Duke. People like you are the problem with our society saying we would feel differently if it was a man, but it’s not a man and woman do rape, abuse and murder. People keep forgetting women are not always the victims but very much abusers too.

Everybody agrees that a married man looking at someone else and not his wife no matter the reason is a bad man bc then you can say "just divorce her". But like didnt we read the same book. He tried to and couldnt. And its not like she loved her husband thats why she didnt want to divorce. If she was a normal woman and not an abusive psycho he would be very much a faithful loyal husband
Isn’t this the same plot of a different comic. I forget the name of it. But the villainess pushes the FL of a balcony and used black magic to switches bodies. It’s so stupid.
