In ch 13 it looks like ml goes cray cray and this dark slime goo thing is all over him (i'm guessing that's the darkness stuff inside him). Mc does this shock thing (i'm guessing purifying?) and he faints. He wakes up back normal and has a conversation with mc. They sit across from each other in a room and talk. Mc brings her hand out and he shakes it so i guess they settled on a deal? Mc then leaves with him. There's this brown hair knight that's part of the group and he clearly makes it known to mc that he hates witches(?). I think the brown hair guy will be the new hate target for most readers. Ml still acts very normal so he gucci. They make it back to the castle and some of the maids look hella sus. The maids prepared a room filled with rose petals and all red for mc and ml (idk if they got married or something, probably part of their deal back then she talked to him). they spend the night together (just sleeping no smex). stuff happens during the day and it looks like ml gets mad on behalf of mc and wants to punish someone(?) but mc stands up and says something. Mc then turns into a bunny and runs under the bed. ml tries to grab her but her just kicks his hand away and he looks all O.O
So far based on the pics ml looks/acts fine and i think there'll be other characters readers will hate more.

Finder, while the rape is unforgivable, has a good story. This...not so much. It would get good then backpedal. Just when you felt bad for Kang, the ending stopped any redemption arc from happening. Just nothing. Finder at least gives a redemption bit, some romance, something more than this...
You either treat rape as a problem through and through, working with what you put on the story, or you treat it as nothing.
You got three choices of routes if you wanna do rape and keep the characters together.
Now, what are these "routes"? First, the junjou:
You are going to stablish that rape is not treated as a serious thing in the setting of your story. The word rape or abuse might not even be used. On this universe, it is seem as bad, but it doesn't carry the same weight as the real world. With that stablished it becomes easier to understand why the reader can overlook what happened, neither of the characters treat it as a massive, life-changing occurring. Above anything else, it must start from a place of desire and/or love. It can never be portrayed as done just for the humiliation and torture aspect of the rape, or else you will have to recognize, within your world building, that in this universe, rape is just as bad as in the real world.
Second: the nii-chan route.
In this one you will stablish that rape is bad.
It may come from a place of hate or love or whatever, why the rapist did it doesn't matter, it is still awful and irredmable and it fucks up the victim. Now, you can make the rapist a manipulator or the victim to have a mind break, whatever you chose, it must feel wrong, you need to show that this doesn't come from a safe, health place, these bitches are fucked up now, both sides. It's why killing stalking works. Why cage mantis works. It's awful and it's treated as awful, it doesn't shy away. There's no redemption, just a tortured mind that can't think better for himself.
The third and last route is the hardest: The Shounen no Kyoukai route.
Specifically, the second story.
Some Omegaverse go on the 2nd but most Omegaverses go with the 1st route, rape is a part of society and excused by the hormones, it's a bad happening, you should try to avoid it, but it doesn't necessarily makes the rapist bad, it's stablished to be instinctual. But shounen no kyoukai is different.
The MC raped someone and is not the greatest towards his current partner, but you slowly see the change, the guilt, there's a redemption that is so very well done.
Thats the thing. The three rules of the third route:
- rape is awful. No way around it
- victim is suffering. Don't sugar coat it.
- rapist have to suffer and show guilt and then begin to redeem himself. You can not "justify" it. There's nothing that excuses rape, he needs to atone and it can't be rushed. If the reader isn't convinced, you failed.
This one story tried to do all three, show rape as horrible, but done for horrible reasons; make a redemption for the rapist, but it is actually just justifying with "he had a bad past"; and act as if is not that bad and the MC forgives the dude as if he wasn't raped three times "oh it's OK, you raped me but it felt good so I'm in love wit u, no actual trauma and this comes from a healthy mind, and imma save your life" without any actual redemption.
It's basically a rape apologist story. Rape stories that use the same standards as real life for rape and ends with a healthy relationship with no punishment for the rapist are just saying "yep. Rape is okay, 100% OK"

I read someone's summary of the novel and oh boi. Not in any particular order.
The Prime Minister has a thing for Sei. He tells Sei that if he's ever bored/tired of the black beast he can come to him. O.O Prime Minister is such a daddy!!!! ⁄(⁄ ⁄·⁄ω⁄·⁄ ⁄)⁄
Yua (The Saint) is all flowers and butterflies until see gets to the battlefield and she sees the reality. She has major character development over the books.
Sei and ML do not get together until the end of the 2nd book. Yes, it takes so long!!!(╯°Д °)╯╧╧ But ML will make it clear to Sei that he is interested in him (I think by the end of the 1st book). Sei will move in with ML i think somewhere in the 2nd book.
Some knights are sick of Sei's budget cuts so they beat him to almost death and if it wasn't for daddy prime minister walking by, Sei would had died. Here, Sei and ML have their 2nd night together to fully heal Sei. (I think).
During the expedition at the battlefield where the miasma is, Yua (Saint) faints and can't do shit so Sei proposes that the mages create a barrier to keep the miasma from flowing out. The kingdom is all Pikachu Face since they never thought about solving the problem themselves and they always relied on the Saint to solve problems.
Yua after the expedition tells the court that she wants to go home and everyone in the kingdom is Pikachu Face again since it's in the prophecy that the Saint will stay and be a trophy wife to the King. Yua doesn't want to be a symbol. The Crown Prince is all like "what can i do to get her attention". Sei doesn't know if Crown Prince actually has feelings for Yua or if he wants to marry the Saint and bask in the glory of the previous Kings with the Saint as their wife.
Apparently there's this really hot frottage scene in book 2. ⁄(⁄ ⁄·⁄ω⁄·⁄ ⁄)⁄
After the expedition stuff, Sei gets transferred to audit the Church since there's some shady stuff happening to their budget. Sei finds out that he is very unwelcomed at the Church. (Very typical of these kinds of story).
There he meets a priest that reminds him of ml. Apparently they have the same eyes. O.O
He does some snooping and proposes to build a private school at the Church to help the children and give the Church a better reputation and stuff. The Bishop and some other guy come back and they hella sus.
In very short, one of the higher ups tries to kill Sei by blasting him with magic and since ml was away, the priest guy that looks like ml was told that he should sleep with Sei since his magic is similar to ml's. Priest guy was like if it saves him i'll do it. Then ml comes in and takes Sei away for their 3rd time. ⁄(⁄ ⁄·⁄ω⁄·⁄ ⁄)⁄
Anyways, Sei wants to report the higher ups of the Church and the Priest guy acts as a witness so the 2 higher ups get arrested.
After all of this, Sei confesses to ML and they finally have s*x where Sei is fully conscious. That's the end of book 2.
I left a lot out but those are the big things that i remember.
